An electrical connector for mounting on an external circuit board includes: an insulating body; a terminal module assembled on the insulating body and including a plurality of mating terminals, an insulating carrier with an accommodating cavity, plural intermediate terminals fixed on one side of the insulating carrier and electrically connected to the mating terminals, plural pin terminals fixed on the other side of the insulating carrier, and a magnetic module accommodated in the accommodating cavity and electrically connected to the intermediate terminals and the pin terminals, wherein the insulating carrier is a two-piece housing, the intermediate terminals are held in one housing piece, and the pin terminals are held in the other housing piece.

An electrical connector includes: an insulating body defining a mating space; and a terminal module assembled to the insulating body and having a circuit board and plural mating terminals mounted on the circuit board, wherein: each of the mating terminals has a contact portion extending obliquely backward, a bending portion bent backward from a front end of the contact portion, a connecting portion extending rearward from a rear end of the bending portion, and a mounting portion vertically extending from a rear end of the connecting portion for mounting on the circuit board; and a front end of the circuit board extends forward into the mating space.

The plug connector includes an insulative housing and a terminal module wherein the terminal module is able to be moveable relative to the housing via sliding or rotation or translation or even detachment so as to have the front mating portion of the terminal module independently mated with the thin receptacle connector or cooperate with the housing to be mated with the regular RJ-45 modular jack.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing, a lower mating contact module, and an upper mating contact module. The insulative housing has a lower receiving cavity, an upper receiving cavity, and an intermediate wall located therebetween. The lower mating contact module has a lower insulating carrier and a set of lower mating contacts secured to the lower insulating carrier. The upper mating contact module has an upper insulating carrier and a set of upper mating contacts secured to the upper insulating carrier. The intermediate wall defines a lower passageway extending along a front-to-back direction and an upper passageway disposed above the lower passageway. The lower insulating carrier has a lower fixing arm inserted and fixed in the lower passageway, and the upper insulating carrier has an upper fixing arm inserted and fixing in the upper passageway.

The insulative housing includes a receiving space, a number of partitions, and a number of receiving passageways each formed between every two adjacent partitions. The terminal module comprises an insulative body and a row of conductive terminals insert molded in the insulative body, the conductive terminal having a fixed portion fixed in the insulative housing and an elastic contact portion extending from the fixed portion and received in a corresponding receiving passageway. A modular jack includes an insulative housing, a set of central shields, and a set of insert modules. The modular jack defines a mounting port. Each insert module includes a printed circuit broad assembly (PCBA) disposed horizontally in the mounting port and a terminal module located below the PCBA. The terminal module has a set of first terminals, a set of second terminals, and an insulative carrier holding the first and second terminals. Each central shield is disposed between two adjacent insert modules and mounted to the insulative housing. The central shield has a metal wafer and an insulative body for holding the metal wafer. The insulative body includes a pressing face extending along a front-to-back direction and the insulative carrier has a receiving pressure face extending along the front-to-back direction. Each terminal has a mounting portion for electrically and mechanically engaged with an exterior PCB.
