An illuminating device is provided. The illuminating device includes a light source and a lampshade. The light source provides a first light beam and a second light beam. The lampshade includes a first curved surface and a second curved surface. The first light beam is refracted by the first curved surface. The second light beam is reflected by the second curved surface, and a curvature of the first curved surface differs from a curvature of the second curved surface.

Illuminating device

A light emitting device and the fabrication method includes forming one or more light emitting modules on a substrate. The light emitting module receives an alternating current input and has at least two micro diodes. Each micro diode has at least two active layers and is electrically connected by a conductive structure so as to allow the active layers of the micro diodes to alternately emit light during positive and negative cycles of the alternating-current input.

Alternating current light emitting device

An alternating current (AC) light emitting assembly and an AC light emitting device are disclosed. The AC light emitting assembly includes a substrate; a rectifier unit comprising a plurality of rectifier components arranged in a Wheatstone Bridge, for rectifying an AC signal into a direct current (DC) signal, each of the rectifier components having a high breakdown voltage and a low forward voltage; a light emitting unit electrically connected to the rectifier unit and comprising a plurality of light emitting components formed on the substrate, for emitting light when receiving the DC signal outputted by the rectifier unit; and two conductive electrodes electrically connected to the rectifier unit for receiving and transmitting the AC signal to the rectifier unit. The AC light emitting device includes two stacked and electrically connected AC light emitting assemblies.

AC light emitting assembly and AC light emitting device

An illumination apparatus including a light-emitting unit and a lens module is described. The light-emitting unit is used for generating a light and has a light exit axis. The lens module has a light exit surface with a plurality of curved surfaces. The lens module receives the light and outputs the light from the curved surfaces. Further, the curved surfaces have at least two curvatures, each for adjusting a illumination range of the light output from the corresponding curved surface.

The present invention relates to a fiber having a core of crystal fiber doped with chromium and a glass cladding. The fiber has a gain bandwidth of more than 300 nm including 1.3 mm to 1.6 mm in optical communication, and can be used as light source, optical amplifier and tunable laser when being applied for optical fiber communication. The present invention also relates to a method of making the fiber. First, a chromium doped crystal fiber is grown by laser-heated pedestal growth (LHPG). Then, the crystal fiber is cladded with a glass cladding by codrawing laser-heated pedestal growth (CDLHPG). Because it is a high temperature manufacture process, the cladding manufactured by this method is denser than that by evaporation technique, and can endure relative high damage threshold power for the pumping light.

Fiber used in wideband amplified spontaneous emission light source and the method of making the same

A light emitting device includes a light emitting element having at least two electrodes disposed at the side of the light output surface thereof; and a base member having a recess and lead portions corresponding to the electrodes, the light emitting element being mounted on the base member and received in the recess, wherein the light output surface faces toward opening of the recess that becomes smaller while approaching the light output surface, and the electrodes are respectively in electrical connection with the lead portions that extend from the connection positions to outer edge of the base member for power connection, and a light reflecting portion is disposed in the recess adjacent to the light output surface such that the light emitted from the light emitting element can be reflected to walls of the recess to form a substantially collimated light beam so as to improve light efficiency.

Light emitting device

A plurality of AC_LED units are coupled and disposed on a single chip to form an AC_LED system in single chip with three metal contacts to be driven by three-phase voltage sources. Alternatively, an AC_LED system in single chip with four metal contacts is also disclosed to be driven by four-phase voltage sources.

A life test device comprises an oven, a current source, a voltage meter, a control module, and a process module. A light-emitting diode (LED) is disposed in the oven. The temperature of the oven is gradually changed in a first period and remains at a set temperature in a second period. The current source provides a first current and a second current to the LED. The voltage meter measures forward voltages of the LED. The control module controls the current source to output the first or second current to the LED and controls the voltage meter to measure the forward voltages of the LED. The process module calculates a junction temperature of the LED according to the forward voltages and a variation relationship formula between the forward voltages and the temperature of the oven.

Devices and methods for LED life test

A method of fabricating micro crystal fiber lasers and frequency-doubling crystal fibers is disclosed. The micro crystal fiber laser contains gain crystal fibers, frequency-doubling crystal fibers, and a semiconductor laser. The semiconductor laser provides a laser beam. The gain crystal fibers receive the laser beam and generate a base-frequency beam. The frequency-doubling crystal fibers have a polarization alternating period. The frequency-doubling crystal fibers are coupled to the gain crystal fibers to double the frequency of the base-frequency beam and provide a double-frequency beam with the required wavelength. In addition to providing a monochromic crystal fiber laser, the crystal fiber lasers in red, green, and blue light may be combined into an array, providing a color laser. The frequency-doubling crystal fiber can be formed using the LHPG method. During the production process, a polarization alternating external field is continuously imposed on the frequency-doubling crystal fiber, resulting in a polarization alternating period.

Micro crystal fiber lasers and method of making frequency-doubling crystal fibers

A light emitting diode (LED) package includes at least one LED chip, a carrier, a light reflection element and at least one outside connection electrode. The LED chip is disposed on the carrier and a conductive line or a flip chip method is used to connect the electrodes of the LED chip to the external connection electrodes. A transparent material is used for fixing the light reflection element and carrier, and forming a lens.

Light emitting diode package and process of making the same

An alternating current light-emitting device and the fabrication method thereof is disclosed. The alternating current light-emitting device includes at least one alternating current micro-die light-emitting module formed on a substrate and composed of at least two micro-dies connected to one another. The micro-dies, each includes at least two active layers, are electrically connected by a conductive structure, such that the active layers of the micro-dies take turns emitting light during positive and negative half cycles of alternating current, thereby providing a full-scale light-emitting area for all-time light emission.

An alternating current light emitting device and the fabrication method includes forming one or more alternating current micro diode light emitting modules on a substrate, wherein the alternating current micro diode light emitting module has two micro diodes connected to one another, and each micro diode has at least two active layers and is electrically connected by a conductive structure, such that the active layers of each micro diode can take turns emitting light during the positive/negative half cycles of alternating current. A continuous and full-scale light emitting effect is thereby achieved.
