An electronic device and a method for setting a sensor are provided. The electronic device includes a sensor and a processor. The processor is coupled to the sensor and configured to calculate a plurality of groups of candidate sensor settings every calculation cycle, wherein each calculation cycle includes one or more frames, and each of the groups of candidate sensor settings corresponds to one respective frame of the calculation cycle. Every frame of the calculation cycle, the processor is further configured to determine a respective group of adoptable sensor settings for each frame of the calculation cycle according to the plurality of groups of candidate sensor settings, wherein the respective group of adoptable sensor settings is for provision to set a sensor.

In a method of controlling an accessory device by a mobile computing device, upon being communicatively coupled with the accessory device, the mobile computing device communicates with the accessory device using an accessory communication protocol to receive accessory information, and protocol configuration data associated with a specific application executable on the accessory device. The mobile computing device reconfigures the accessory communication protocol based on the protocol configuration data to obtain a reconfigured accessory communication protocol, and then communicates with the accessory device using the reconfigured accessory communication protocol to control execution of basic functionality and the specific application on the accessory device.

An attachable assembly for smart phone that has at least one contact site disposed thereon is disclosed. The attachable assembly comprises a mount unit and an extension device. The mount unit is fixed at one edge of the smart phone, and has at least one locking slot disposed thereon; the extension device electrically contacts the contact site and has at least one locking member selectively engaged to the locking slot. Wherein, the extension device has a rotative axis so that the extension device is rotated and fitted with the mount unit.
