A communications apparatus and associated method communicating with at least one cellular network includes a radio transceiver and a processor. The communications apparatus includes a radio transceiver, capable of transmitting or receiving wireless radio frequency signals to or from a cellular network; and a processor. The processor is configured to: receive an incoming call request message that will trigger a Circuit Switch Fall Back (CSFB) procedure or a Evolved Packet System Fall Back (EPS FB) procedure from the cellular network via the radio transceiver, query a user to accept or reject the incoming call request before triggering the CSFB procedure or the EPS FB procedure, and determine whether to trigger the CSFB procedure or the EPS FB procedure based on a response to the query from the user.

Method for preventing an inter-rat change from being triggered and communications apparatus utilizing the same

A communications apparatus communicating with at least one cellular network includes a radio transceiver and a processor. The radio transceiver is capable of transmitting or receiving wireless radio frequency signals to or from an air interface in the cellular network. The processor is configured to determine whether an inter-RAT change will be triggered in a subsequent procedure when the communications apparatus is in a connected mode. When the processor determines that an inter-RAT change procedure will be triggered, the processor is configured to selectively perform a predetermined procedure instead of the subsequent procedure to avoid the inter-RAT change.

Method for preventing an inter-RAT change from being triggered and communications apparatus utilizing the same

The wireless communication device includes one or more wireless transceivers and a controller. The one or more wireless transceivers detect(s) one or more first frequency bands of one or more cellular networks, and detect(s) one or more second frequency bands of one or more non-cellular networks. The controller selects one of the first frequency bands and one of the second frequency bands, which do not overlap, and assigns the selected first frequency band to one of the wireless transceivers, thereby enabling one of the wireless transceivers to camp on a cell on the selected first frequency band. Also, the controller assigns the selected second frequency band to one of the wireless transceivers, thereby enabling one of the wireless transceivers to connect to one of the non-cellular networks on the selected second frequency band.

The network system may have a packet core which may include a security gateway for facilitating an unlicensed network to interwork with the packet core. Apparatus and method for providing side touch panel as part of man-machine interface (MMI)

A display device including a control module, a plastic rear cover, a display panel, a buffer element and a plastic front cover is provided. The plastic rear cover includes a plurality of supporting ribs protruded from an inner surface of the plastic rear cover. An outer surface of the plastic rear cover has a receiving portion, in which the control module is received. The display panel includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and the first surface is disposed in accordance with the inner surface of the plastic rear cover. The buffer element is leant against the second surface. The plastic front cover has a display opening used for exposing a part of the second surface, and is leant against the buffer element.
