An antenna system comprises a first antenna element adapted to a first frequency band and a second antenna element adapted to a second frequency band different from the first frequency band. The first antenna element includes a radiating structure having a planar radiating element and configured to radiate at a frequency in the first frequency band and a band-stop filter having a planar conductive element and configured to attenuate a current flow at a frequency in a second frequency band different from the first frequency band. The planar conductive element is arranged in a meander pattern, has an end electrically connected to the planar radiating element, extends in a direction substantially parallel to the planar radiating element, and has an electrical length substantially equal to &#xbc; of a wavelength of the frequency in the second frequency band.

The invention relates to an improved antenna element. Such an antenna element comprises a substrate, a first conductor and a second conductor. The substrate has at least a first lateral surface. The first conductor is provided on the first lateral surface, and includes a feed line portion and a monopole portion. The second conductor is provided at least partially on the same, first lateral surface, and includes: two ground planes which are disposed on the first lateral surface adjacent to the feed line portion of the first conductor at opposite sides thereof, and two stubs which are disposed on the first lateral surface at opposite sides of the respective of the two ground planes, and which extend in a direction parallel to the feed line portion of the first conductor. The two ground planes and the two stubs of the second conductor are arranged to form a coplanar waveguide.

An ultrawideband antenna for use in communications equipment, comprising a first folded branch antenna element with an electrical connection at a first end and a second folded branch antenna element with an electrical connection at a first end. The folded branch antenna elements are of a triangular shape, or a combination of polygonal shapes. By using the present invention, the volume of an antenna is reduced and the ultra wide bandwidth can be achieved.

The present disclosure relates to a substantially flat antenna structure which includes a frame earth terminal and at least one HF feed connection, which can be used for at least two frequency bands. From one foot area outwards, which includes the frame earth terminal, the antenna structure includes two antenna branches. Two distanced HF feed connections are provided in the foot area. The two antenna branches of the antenna structure are embodied in such a way that the associated frequency bands overlap.

A small sized structure for a plurality of resonance frequency bands in a PIFA antenna system for at least two mobile frequency bands distant from each other including a ground connection and a HF power supply connection. The PIFA antenna system includes at least two antenna branches which are disposed essentially side-by-side and in parallel to each other in the form of a strip and are connected to each other at a base thereof in order to serially connect the antenna branches which extend at a predetermined distance from each other, thereby forming a slit and are provide with straight segments for producing a capacitance coupling between the branches. The ground connection is preferably arranged at the free end of one of the antenna branches, the HF power supply connection is mounted on the external edge of the branch of the PIFA antenna structure provided with the ground connection. The width of the antenna branches, the length thereof and the slit therebetween are calculated in such a way that the PIFA antenna structure is provided with two resonance frequency bands arranged at a desired distance to each other.

PIFA antenna arrangement for a plurality of mobile radio frequency bands

A PIFA antenna device is provided which includes an HF input/output and two antenna surfaces respectively having a contact with the ground of a mobile communication terminal. The first antenna surface is configured for two independent frequencies and the second antenna surface is configured for a third independent frequency. Only the first antenna surface is connected to the HF input/output and the second antenna surface is arranged in a contactless manner with respect to the first antenna surface, whereby an electromagnetic coupling occurs between both antenna surfaces.

A multi-band antenna for use in a mobile radio telephone. The antenna includes first and second meandering conductor structures and a contact spring connecting the conductor structures to a transmitter/receiver. The meandering conductor structures and contact spring are formed as a single-piece punched and bent part, without overlapping of the components.
