A lighting-system control method applied to the lighting-system including a light source and an ultrasonic transmitting-and-receiving device is provided. The method comprises steps of: determining a distance between an object and the ultrasonic transmitting-and-receiving device by the ultrasonic transmitting-and-receiving device according to a flight time of an ultrasonic-wave; changing a first light property of the light source when the object is detected moving toward the ultrasonic transmitting-and-receiving device; and changing a second light property of the light source when the object is detected moving away from the ultrasonic transmitting-and-receiving device.

Lighting system control method

A control method for use with a lighting system is provided. The lighting system includes a light source and an ultrasonic transceiver. The control method includes steps of: measuring the time of an ultrasonic signal emitted from the ultrasonic transceiver and reflected by the object to reach the ultrasonic sensor to obtain a time of flight; calculating a distance between the object and the ultrasonic transceiver according to the time of flight; defining at least one control region according to the distance; and moving the object to the control region, thereby performing a controlling operation corresponding to the control region and adjusting an optical characteristic.

Method of controlling a lighting system with an ultrasonic transceiver

An optical disk drive including a housing, a top cover, a spindle motor and a supporting element is provided. The housing has an accommodating space. The top cover covers the accommodating space. The spindle motor is disposed within the accommodating space and has a shaft. The supporting element is disposed between an end of the shaft and the top cover. When the top cover is deformed, the shaft props up the top cover through the supporting element.

Optical disk drive

A lighting device includes a light source, first and second beam-directing prism elements, and a transmission device. The light source emits a light beam. The first beam-directing prism element is arranged in a first direction. The second beam-directing prism element is arranged in a second direction and partially overlapped with the first beam-directing prism element. When the light beam passes through different regions of the first and second beam-directing prism elements, different bending angles are resulted. The transmission device is connected to the first and second beam-directing prism elements for driving movement of the first beam-directing prism element in the first direction and movement of the second beam-directing prism element in the second direction. Accordingly, the light beam emitted by the light source simultaneously passes through one of the regions of the first beam-directing prism element and one of the regions of the second beam-directing prism element.

Lighting device

The present invention discloses a lighting system with an adjustable illuminated area. The lighting system comprises a light source for outputting a light, a first refractive optical element and a second refractive optical element. The first and second refractive optical elements have continuous curvature. The first refractive optical element is movable along a first direction, while the second refractive optical element is movable along a second direction. The light passes through the first refractive optical element and the second refractive optical element to form an illuminated area. The shape and the size of the illuminated area are adjusted when the relative position of the first refractive optical element and the second refractive optical element is adjusted.
