A front light module including a light guide plate, a light source, an optical film, and a first optical clear adhesive is provided. The light guide plate has a top surface, a bottom surface opposite to the top surface, and a light input surface connecting the top surface with the bottom surface. The light source is disposed beside the light input surface. An optical surface of the optical film facing away from the light guide plate has a plurality of optical microstructures. Each of the optical microstructures is a recess, and has a light receiving surface more adjacent to the light input surface and a light back surface further away from the light input surface. The optical clear adhesive is disposed between the light guide plate and the optical film in a fully bonding manner. An electrophoretic display is also provided.

Front light module and electrophoretic display

A front light module includes a foldable light guide plate, a light source, an upper insulating layer, an upper optical adhesive layer, a lower insulating layer, and a lower optical adhesive layer. The top surface and the bottom surface of the foldable light guide plate adjoin the light incident surface of the foldable light guide plate. The light source faces toward the light incident surface. The upper insulating layer is located on the top surface. The upper optical adhesive layer is located on the upper insulating layer, and a storage modulus of the upper optical adhesive layer is less than a storage modulus of the upper insulating layer. The lower optical adhesive layer is located on a bottom surface of the lower insulating layer, and a storage modulus of the lower optical adhesive layer is less than a storage modulus of the lower insulating layer.

Front light module and foldable display device

A front light module includes a light guide plate, a light source and a light guide medium. The light guide plate includes a top surface, a bottom surface opposite to the top surface and a light incident surface adjoining the top surface and the bottom surface. The light source is disposed beside the light incident surface. A top surface of the light source and the top surface of the light guide plate have a first step therebetween. The light guide medium is between the light source and the light incident surface of the light guide plate.

Front light module and display device

A display device includes a display panel, a light source module and a control unit. The display panel includes plural display areas. The light source module includes plural light source units. The light source units are configured to output plural light beams to illuminate the display areas of the display panel. The control unit is coupled to the light source module and configured to receive a frame data. The frame data includes plural subframe data, and the subframe data are displayed on the display areas. The control unit is further configured to control a first light source unit of the light source units to adjust a brightness corresponding to a first color of a first light beam of the light beams according to a ratio of the first color. The ratio of the first color is related to a first subframe data of the subframe data.

Display device

A lighting module includes a circuit board, a light emitting diode, a light guide plate and a glue material. The light emitting diode is disposed over the circuit board, and the light emitting diode includes a light emitting side surface and a non-light emitting side surface. The light guide plate is substantially parallel to the circuit board, and a portion of the light guide plate is disposed over the circuit board and adjacent to the light emitting side surface of the light emitting diode. The glue material covers and is in contact with the non-light emitting side surface of the light emitting diode and the portion of the light guide plate.

Lighting module and display device

A reflective display apparatus including a reflective display panel, a transparent cover plate, and a light source is provided. The transparent cover plate is disposed on one side of the reflective display panel. An air gap exists between the reflective display panel and the transparent cover plate. The light source is disposed between the reflective display panel and the transparent cover plate, and a light emitted by the light source travels towards the air gap before irradiating the transparent cover plate or the reflective display panel.

Reflective display apparatus

A front light module including a light guide plate and a light source is provided. The light guide plate includes a first surface, a second surface and a light entering surface. The second surface is opposite the first surface. The light entering surface has at least one area that is adjacent to the first surface and the second surface. The light source is disposed beside the light entering surface and is configured to illuminate the light guide plate. The at least one area and an optical axis of the light source form a first angle. The first angle is less than 90 degrees. A display module is also provided.

Front light module and display module

A light emitting device includes a light guide plate and a light source. The light guide plate has a first surface, a second surface that is opposite to the first surface, at least one third surface, and a light incident surface. The third surface and the light incident surface are between the first and second surfaces. The third surface is adjacent to the light incident surface and has a concave-convex structure. The light source is located on the light incident surface. When the light source emits light, the light of the light source enters the light guide plate and transmits to the concave-convex structure, such that the light irradiates out from the concave-convex structure due to refraction, and is reflected back to the light guide plate by the concave-convex structure.

Light emitting device and light guide plate thereof

A front light display device includes a reflective display module, a light guide plate, an optical clear adhesive, plural microstructures, and a light source. The light guide plate has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a third surface adjacent to the first and second surfaces. The light guide plate is made of a material including glass. The optical clear adhesive is located between the reflective display module and the first surface of the light guide plate. The microstructures are located on the first surface of the light guide plate. The light source faces the third surface of the light guide plate.

Front light display device and manufacturing thereof

A display device that includes a display panel, a multilayer light guide plate structure, and a light source is provided. The display panel has a display surface. The multilayer light guide plate structure is located on the display surface of the display panel. The multilayer light guide plate structure has a light incident surface, an upper surface, and a lower surface opposite to the upper surface, and the multilayer light guide plate structure includes a plurality of light guide plate layers stacked together. The light source is located beside the light incident surface of the multilayer light guide plate structure and has a light emitting surface. A multilayer light guide plate structure and a front light module are also provided.

Display device, multilayer light guide plate structure and front light module

The present disclosure provides an optical module. The optical module includes a light guide plate and a decorative layer. The light guide plate includes at least one light-entering inclined surface, a first light-emitting inclined surface adjacent to the light-entering inclined surface and a second light-emitting inclined surface opposite to the first light-emitting inclined surface. The decorative layer is covered the second light-emitting inclined surface of the light guide plate by an injection molding process. A display device containing the optical module and a method for manufacturing the optical module are also provided herein.

Optical module, display device containing the same and method for manufacturing the same

A reflective display apparatus includes a reflective display panel, a light guide plate, an elastic ring, a light permeable liquid and a holding device. The elastic ring is sandwiched between the reflective display panel and the light guide plate, and it spaces the reflective display panel and the light guide plate apart defines a space between the reflective display panel and the light guide plate. The light permeable liquid is located in the space. The holding device holds the reflective display panel and the light guide plate, thereby pressing against the elastic ring and making the elastic ring deform.

A light emitting module is provided. A light emitting unit includes a light emitting surface including a middle light emitting area and a peripheral light emitting area. The peripheral light emitting area is disposed on the opposite sides of the middle light emitting area. The light emitting unit emits light from the light emitting surface. A light guide plate includes a light incident surface adjacent to the middle light emitting area. The width of the light incident surface in a direction is smaller than the width of the light emitting surface in the direction, and the light incident surface is configured to receive part of the light that is emitted from the middle light emitting area, and another part of the light that is emitted from the peripheral light emitting area deviates from the light incident surface. A display device is also provided.

Light emitting module and display device

A front light guide includes a light guide plate, a light source, a functional material layer and a first adhesive layer. The light guide plate has a side surface, a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The light guide plate has a first refractive index. The light source faces the side surface and configured to emit light into the light guide plate. The functional material layer is disposed at a side adjacent to the first surface, and has a third refractive index. The first adhesive layer is interposed between the light guide plate and the functional material layer so as to adhere the light guide plate with the functional material layer. The first adhesive layer has a second refractive index. The first refractive index is greater than the second refractive index, and the second refractive index is greater than the third refractive index.

Front light guide module and electrophoresis display having the same

A display apparatus is provided. A display unit has a display region. A protecting cover has a patterned region, wherein the patterned region does not overlap the display region. A light guide plate is disposed between the display unit and the protecting cover and has a first light scattering region and a second light scattering region. The first light scattering region at least partially overlaps the display region, and the second light scattering region at least partially overlaps the patterned region. A light emitting unit emits a light beam to the light guide plate. After the light beam enters the light guide plate, a part of the light beam is scattered to the display region by the first light scattering region and another part of the light beam is scattered to the patterned region by the second light scattering region.
