Disclosed is a compact and integrated fan, pump, and heat exchanger system where air-cooling is performed via the fan, liquid cooling is performed via a pump, and heat exchange fins in thermal contact with a fluid channel act as a heat exchanger. Heated fluid is carried inside the fluid channel, where heat therein is conducted to the fins. The air flows around the outside surfaces of the fins so that the heat transfers from the heated fluid into the air stream.

Compact air-plus-liquid thermal management module

A long-proportional-stroke force motor which outputs force proportional to the exciting current. The motor has a magnetic circuit wherein a non-magnetic spacer is positioned axially between a magnetic guide and a magnetic sleeve. An armature moves within a central opening defined by the guide, the spacer and the sleeve. An end portion of the guide, adjacent to the spacer, has a sectional profile through a stepped surface facing radially outward and the corners of the steps define a curve which satisfies the following expressions: where X is a coordinate on an X-axis corresponding to a central axis of the guide; wherein the armature is moved in a direction along the X-axis by application of exciting current to a coil surrounding the guide, spacer and sleeve; and Y is a coordinate on an axis orthogonal to the X-axis.

Long-proportional-stroke force motor

A servo valve has a miniature force motor embedded in a main fluid chamber to directly operate between two nozzles to generate a differential pressure in two ports. The miniature force motor includes two disc ring-shaped magnets in opposing magnetic orientation, an armature base and poppet ends of magnetic material coupled to an armature shaft having pilot ends that interface to form the pilot stage valves at each armature shaft end. The armature shaft extends through a center hole in the magnets, armature base, and the poppet ends and engages bearing elements at each end allowing lateral armature motion. Two elastic members provide restoring forces to the armature assembly. Guide/stops have shaped magnetic surfaces to control the magnetic path and to linearize the force versus stroke and to increase the proportional stroke of the armature.

A rotary actuator has a stator having plural permanent magnetsand; a rotor having a rotor corewhich plural salient polesandare formed at, and one or more rotor coilsare wound around; an electromagnetic torque generating portion A comprising the stator and the rotor which, by supplying an electric current to the rotor coils, generates an electromagnetic torque which displaces a relative angle position of the rotor and the stator in approximate proportion to the magnitude of the electric current; and a coil springbiased in approximate proportion to the magnitude of the relative angle displacement of the rotor and the stator, and thereby generating a torque in the direction opposite to the direction of the electromagnetic torque. When the exciting current is supplied to the rotor coils, the electromagnetic torque in approximate proportion to the magnitude of the electric current is generated between the rotor and the stator, which makes the coil springs 36 bias and the rotor or the stator rotate to and be held at the angular position where the generated electromagnetic torque corresponds to the opposite torque generated by the coil spring
