According to one embodiment, a motor driving device includes an output part that supplies an exciting current to an exciting coil, a position detection part that detects a rotational position of a rotor, and a driving control part that produces a driving signal that is based on a detection signal from the position detection part and supplies it to the output part. The position detection part has first, second, and third detection elements that are integrally integrated together with the driving control part and detect rotational positions of the rotor.

The parameter setter sets at least one of a rotation speed of the electric motor and a parameter related to the rotation speed as speed information. The voltage controller acquires a first voltage vector component in a direction in which the stator interlinkage magnetic flux acts and a second voltage vector component in a direction which is orthogonal to the direction in which the stator interlinkage magnetic flux acts for the voltage command of the drive voltage, and sets the voltage command of the drive voltage based on the first voltage vector component and the second voltage vector component.

The lead angle data generating section is configured to generate a relationship line between lead angle data representing the lead angle and a lead angle control signal, and configured to generate the lead angle data based on the relationship line and the lead angle control signal. The relationship line reaches an upper limit point from a lower limit point through a changing point. In the changing point, the lead angle control signal is a changing point voltage, and the lead angle data represents the lead angle corresponding to a lead angle setting voltage.
