A secure packaging system for a stored value card. The secure packaging system including a front panel and a back panel sealed via a non-rewettable polymer to the front panel at a non-rewettable sealing section, the sealing section arranged continuously around at least a periphery of the stored value card, wherein the sealing section cannot be reactivated or unsealed with heat to access the contents therein.

A stored value card and carrier system, including an optional carrier, an inactive stored value card attached to the carrier, and a label, in which the label is removably adhered to at least a portion of the stored value card and at least a portion of the carrier, and the label is capable of indicating removal from the stored value card and the carrier or other tampering.

A stored value card and carrier assembly including a carrier formed from one or more panels, at least one stored value card sandwiched and sealed within the carrier, and a label removably adhered or coupled to the card and adhered or coupled to an interior of the carrier such that the bond to the carrier or card is greater than the bond to the other of the card or carrier. The label includes at least a portion of activation indicia, such as a barcode, either printed or otherwise applied thereon. Upon removal of the card from the carrier, the label remains coupled to one of the carrier or the card, whichever bond is greater, rending any remaining activation indicia on the other of the stored value card or carrier unreadable.

A transaction card and carrier system. The system includes a panel assembly and transaction card assembly. The transaction card assembly includes a transaction card and one or more snap-off portions selectively detachable from the transaction card along a line of weakness. The transaction card assembly is anchored between at least two panels of the panel assembly along or within a seam or bind area formed by sealing the at least two panels together around or over the snap-off portion. At least one of the panels can further include one or more tamper indicating patterns, such as a starburst pattern. The transaction card assembly is adhered to the one or more tamper indicating patterns such that removal of the card ruptures the pattern.

A secure carrier assembly for media devices and media content. The assembly includes a carrier having a front panel, a rear panel, and an intermediate panel. At least one panel of the carrier comprises a durable polymeric material, such as a lens sheet assembly including a lens sheet, and an image layer. The carrier with lens sheet assembly provides enhanced security features, increased durability, and eye-catching features compared to traditional carrier or packaging assemblies.

A financial transaction card is packaged by a carrier which contains the card and restricts motion of the card sufficiently to inhibit removal of the card by improper means (e.g., creating a slit in the exterior of the package and sliding the card out) prior to activation of the financial transaction account associated with the card at the point of sale. In a preferred embodiment, the package is a simple three-panel construction having an internal panel provided with slits that do not contact the card unless improper removal of the card is attempted. Such a feature provides substantial security for the packaged card, at minimal manufacturing cost.

A financial transaction card is packaged within a carrier which contains the card and prevents access to any indicia borne on the card (e.g., magnetic stripe, barcode, and the like) prior to activation of the financial transaction account associated with the card at the point of sale. The package bears no alternative indicia correlated with those borne on the card, and thus only the indicia on the card itself may be used for account activation. Such indicia are exposed at the point of sale by opening a section of the carrier to reveal the actual indicia borne on the card itself. Thus, any breakage of the carrier or other attempts to access the card within the packaging, prior to presentation of the packaged card for activation at the point of sale, is evidence of tampering of the package. In a preferred embodiment, the package is a simple three-panel, partially perforated construction that provides substantial security for the packaged card, at minimal manufacturing cost.
