A blockchain may store transactions for various purposes which may be later accessed by interested parties for ledger verification. One example method of operation may comprise one or more of receiving a blockchain transaction, identifying a proof-of-work is generated for the blockchain transaction via a network entity, transmitting the proof-of-work and a select portion of ledger data to a registered third party via an encrypted message based on a third party key, validating the proof-of-work via the third party, and providing a reward to the network entity.

A method and system for sizing databases. Multiple patterns of historical capacity usage by multiple databases in a computer system are identified. The multiple patterns are statistically significant for multiple characteristics due to the multiple databases including an input value of each characteristic of multiple characteristics pertaining to utilization of the multiple databases. A weighted value of capacity usage is computed as ACP*FC*PC, wherein ACP=an average value of historical capacity points for each pattern, FC=fraction of the characteristics associated with each pattern, and PC=a fraction of the multiple databases used for each pattern. One or more current databases are sized via utilization of the computed total value of capacity usage. A virtual machine or a new server of the computer system is created. The virtual machine or new server includes the sized one or more current databases.

Approaches presented herein enable tailoring messages to enhance sharing and resonance based on a community fingerprint and a key influencer. More specifically, a message to be directed to members of an online social community is received. Members of the social community who influence the social community and their likelihood to re-share messages are identified. A re-share fingerprint for the identified influencer is generated that maps the influencer's likelihood to re-share content. A communications fingerprint of the community is also created using an amalgamation of the communication patterns and styles of individual members of the community. The received message is optimized to most effectively target the message to the online social community and to solicit a desired response from the community based on the community communication fingerprint. The optimized message can then be forwarded to the online social community.

Disclosed embodiments provide a temporary privacy mode for an electronic device. The user selects one or more regions of allowable content and/or unallowable content. The user then invokes a temporary privacy mode of the device. While the device is in the temporary privacy mode, only the allowable content is viewable on the display of the electronic device. The unallowable content is obfuscated or hidden from view. The third party therefore cannot see the content deemed private by the user. When the third party has completed review of the content, the user can exit the temporary privacy mode to return to normal operation.

A computer-implemented for delivering tailored content to an individual includes: obtaining, by a computer system, communications of the individual; obtaining, by the computer system, a communication fingerprint for the individual based on analysis of the communications of the individual; tailoring, by the computer system, a message to the individual using the communication fingerprint; and delivering the message to the individual. In embodiments, a computer-implemented method comprises: detecting, by a computer device, the presence of a mobile device of a participant within a venue during a first event; monitoring, by the computing device, the location of the mobile device of the participant within the venue during the first event; detecting, by the computing device, at least one interaction event between the participant and a venue associate; recording, by the computing device, first event data including interaction event data; detecting, by the computing device, the presence of the mobile device of the participant within the venue during a second event; determining, by the computing device, one or more customer service parameters based on the first event data; and generating, by the computing device, an alert based on the one or more customer service parameters.

Methods and systems for use in constraining access to network resources based on notification and compliance requirements. In various examples, an access point or similar device receives and stores notification information (e.g., from a network administrator device) for provision to targeted client devices in a notification message. The access point also receives target criteria for use in identifying target client devices that are accessing or attempting to access network resources via the access point. In some embodiments, access to network resources by a targeted client device is constrained pending completion of a compliance condition requirement associated with a notification message. Various levels of access to network resources may be applied to non-compliant target client devices. Following completion of compliance condition, a target client device is exempted from further receipt of the notification message. Select client devices otherwise meeting the target criteria may also be excluded from receiving a notification message.

A method and system for sizing databases. Multiple patterns of historical capacity usage by multiple databases are identified. The multiple patterns are statistically significant for multiple characteristics pertaining to utilization of multiple historic databases. The capacity usage is memory usage or central processing unit (CPU) usage. A weighted value of capacity usage is computed for each pattern as an average value of historical capacity usage for each pattern weighted by a function of a fraction of the multiple databases used for each pattern. A total value of capacity usage is computed as a sum of the weighted values of capacity usage. The computed total value of capacity usage is stored. A current database is sized, utilizing the computed total value of capacity usage. The database sizing may be based on query complexity in dependence on rates of occurrence of queries to the historic databases and to the current database.

Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, systems, and computer program products for re-launching contextually related application sets. In one embodiment, applications which are contextually-related are saved to a profile, along with the state of each application and data associated with each application. The set of applications, along with saved state and data, can be re-launched responsive to a trigger.
