Embodiments provide an electrical contact assembly. The electrical contact assembly includes a crossbar, a pivot pin mounted in the crossbar, a contact arm pivotally mounted on the pivot pin and rotatable about a pivot axis, a moveable electrical contact spaced from the pivot axis in a first arm portion of the contact arm, and a spring assembly coupled between the crossbar and the contact arm, the spring assembly including a clevis pin and a spring received on the clevis pin wherein an end of the clevis pin extends through the spring and is received in a pivot recess in the crossbar. Electrical contact assemblies with offset rod ends and limit stops are also disclosed. Systems including the electrical contact assembly and methods of operating the electrical contact assembly are provided, as are other aspects.

Circuit breaker electrical contact assembly, and systems and methods using same

A limit stop apparatus for a multi-pole electrical contact assembly is disclosed. The limit stop apparatus interconnects crossbars of respective contact assemblies wherein one or more contact arms are pivotable relative to each crossbar. The limit stop apparatus is configured to engage the one or more contact arms on a same side of the one or more contact arms containing moveable electrical contacts. In one or more embodiments, the limit stop apparatus has a connecting bar with limit stops having arc shields molded to the connecting bar, wherein the arc shields can be phase-to-phase arc shields and contact-to-component arc shields. Circuit breakers and multi-pole electrical contact assemblies having a limit stop apparatus, and methods of operating the multi-pole electrical contact assembly are disclosed, as are other aspects.

Limit stop apparatus, circuit breakers including limit stops, and methods of using same

The present invention relates generally to a rotary handle. More particularly, the invention encompasses a deliberate action rotary handle. The invention further includes an extended drive-plate deliberate action rotary handle, such that to turn on a component, such as, a circuit breaker, requires a deliberate manual action by the user. If a deliberate action is not taken by a user but the handle is accidentally pushed then the handle does not engage with a drive shaft and the handle moves to an outer edge of a drive plate thus preventing the engagement of the handle with the other components to turn on the component.

The present invention relates generally to a rotary handle. More particularly, the invention encompasses an improved support bracket for a deliberate action rotary handle. The invention further includes an improved support bracket to support an extended drive-plate deliberate action rotary handle, such that to turn on a component, such as, a circuit breaker, requires a deliberate manual action by the user.
