Space transformers configured to be utilized in a probe system to facilitate electrical communication with a device under test (DUT), probe systems that include the space transformers, and related methods are disclosed herein. The space transformers include a dielectric body, a plurality of first electrical contacts supported by the dielectric body, and a plurality of second electrical contacts supported by the dielectric body. The space transformers also include an electrically conductive radio frequency (RF) signal-modifying trace. The space transformers further include an RF electrical signal-modifying structure in electrical communication with the electrically conductive RF signal-modifying trace. The RF electrical signal-modifying structure is configured to receive the RF electrical signal from an input region of the electrically conductive RF signal-modifying trace and to discharge a modified RF electrical signal to an output region of the electrically conductive RF signal-modifying trace. The RF electrical signal-modifying structure includes a coupler.

An optical platform assembly may include a head with a scan mirror; a body with an optical module to detect a hard body object; and a rotary connector that attaches the head to the body of the optical platform assembly. In some instances, the rotary connector may allow the head to rotate about the body, where the body is mounted and stationary to the surface. The optical body may be configured to detect for specific hard body objects, such as periscopes.

Embodiments of the invention provide a removable memory unit (RMU) that facilitates concatenation of said memory modules irrespective of their individual physical interfaces, enables encryption/decryption keys (including cryptographic ignition keys (CIKs)) to reside onboard the RMU, provides for physical separation of RED and BLACK data in cross-domain environments and implements zeroization functionality onboard the RMU. Reconfigurable mass data recording method and system

An information carrier in a preferred embodiment is worn like a dog-tag and carries data such as medical information. The tag operates wirelessly, communicating with a nearby reader which interrogates the tag with a selected combination of RF signal frequencies. Extremely long term battery usage is achieved by connecting the battery in the tag only when the proper combination of RF signals, each at least at a minimum threshold power level, is received at the tag to produce a trigger voltage in activation logic to close a solid state switch. After a sequence of communications between the reader and the tag is then completed to transfer selected data from the memory, the battery is again disconnected to preserve battery energy for very long periods of time. The battery may be slowly recharged by ambient energy using a scavenging antenna array.
