Embodiments of a liquid-cooled charging cable are described. The charging cable includes one or more electrically conductive cables having a first end and a second end. Each cable has a set of one or more cooling tubes. Each cooling tube includes an inlet and an outlet, both at the first end of the cable, a forward part in thermal contact with the cable, the forward part beginning at the inlet and extending from the first end to the second end, and a reverse part in thermal contact with the cable, the reverse part extending from the second end to the first end and ending at the outlet. The forward and reverse parts together form a continuous fluid path between the inlet and the outlet, so that a working fluid can flow through each cooling tube from the inlet through the forward part and the reverse part to the outlet.

On-board liquid-cooled or gas-cooled charging cable for electric vehicles

Embodiments and examples are disclosed for placement configurations of HVAC units for electric vehicles. For one embodiment, a vehicle includes a front compartment, a cabin compartment, a vehicle body, and a HVAC unit. The front compartment is at a front end of the vehicle. The cabin compartment is at a center of the vehicle to contain passengers. The body of the vehicle contains a dashwall separating the front compartment from the cabin compartment. The heat ventilation air conditioning (HVAC) unit is situated in the front compartment, separated from the cabin compartment by the dashwall, where the HVAC unit provides heat, ventilation, and air conditioning to the user in the cabin compartment.

HVAC unit placement configuration for a vehicle

Methods and systems are disclosed for facial recognition camera configurations for a vehicle. For one embodiment, a vehicle includes a door assembly. The door assembly includes: a window, a lower door assembly body, an upper door frame and a user capture device. The upper door frame is fixedly attached to the lower door assembly body and surrounding the window. The upper door frame includes a recessed portion in an inner panel of the upper door frame. The recessed portion houses the user capture device for identifying and authenticating users of the vehicle.

User capture device configuration for a vehicle

Embodiments are disclosed of a battery enclosure for a vehicle. The battery enclosure includes a rigid frame forming a perimeter of the enclosure. The rigid frame has a T-shaped cross section including a web and a flange. The flange has a pair of flange sections that project away from the centerline of the web. A bottom panel having an inner side and an outer side is positioned within the perimeter formed by the rigid frame so that the outer side of the bottom panel rests on one of the pair of flange sections. A perimeter edge of the bottom panel is positioned in a corner formed by the web and the flange section on which the bottom panel rests. A seal is positioned in the corner formed by the inner side of the bottom panel and the web, and a joiner couples the bottom panel to the flange section on which the bottom panel rests.

Battery sealing enclosure

An integrated extend bed assembly for a vehicle is provided. The extended bed assembly includes a bed assembly that is mounted at a rear of the vehicle and a bed extension that is slidably fitted into the bed assembly. The bed extension is extendable rearward of the bed assembly in a linear motion. Additionally, sliding members are mounted to the bed assembly and the bed extension to support the bed extension in an extended position.
