A vent assembly in an inner fender assembly disposed between a heat exchanger in an engine compartment and a wheel well of a motor vehicle includes a first vent and a second vent disposed in the inner fender assembly. The first vent includes a plurality of fins disposed at a first angle relative to a horizontal axis. The second vent is disposed between the first vent and the heat exchanger and includes a plurality of fins extending between distal ends of first and second walls of the second vent and disposed at a second angle relative to the horizontal axis.

Wheel well vent assembly

A fuel filler adapter for a vehicle including a rigid housing connected to the vehicle and having a fuel pipe opening defined therethrough; and a flexible plastic overmold formed to the rigid housing. The overmold includes a radial wall defining an aperture that is in registry with the fuel pipe opening, a drainage skirt at least partially encircling the aperture for catching overflow fuel, and an overflow channel disposed below the aperture. The overflow channel may be defined by the radial wall and/or the skirt.

Fuel filler assembly

A vehicle or automotive body includes a floor panel, first and second side sills, connected to, respectively, to opposite side of the floor panel, a cross member extending between the side sills and connected to each side sill, a rear door panel, a first reinforcing structure connected to the rear door panel, and a second reinforcing structure connected to the cross member. The second reinforcing structure is arranged with respect to the first reinforcing structure such that the first reinforcing structure contacts the second reinforcing structure during a side impact crash event to transfer load into the cross member.

A vehicle deflector assembly includes a first member and second member with at least one of the first and second members secured to an associated vehicle. Both the first and second members extend along a substantial portion of a width of the vehicle. A connecting assembly connects the first and second members together while allowing relative thermal expansive movement therebetween.

Vehicle deflector assembly

A C-pillar assembly for a vehicle that lacks a B-pillar, the C-pillar assembly including an inner reinforcement member, an outer reinforcement member, upper and lower hinge assemblies, and an outer garnish member. The outer reinforcement member is disposed over the inner reinforcement member. The inner and outer reinforcement members are secured to one another so as to define a C-pillar having, in cross section, a generally box-like shape. The outer reinforcement has an upper mounting location to which the upper hinge assembly is secured and a lower mounting location to which the lower hinge assembly is secured. A portion of the lower hinge assembly is disposed within a hinge pocket formed in the outer reinforcement member. The outer garnish member is secured to the outer reinforcement member and defines a slotted opening through which the lower hinge assembly extends.

C-pillar and rear door hinge structure for vehicles lacking a B-pillar

A hook and catch assembly for use in securing a door to a body of a vehicle. The hook and catch assembly includes a hook that is secured to the door, a rocker panel that the door engages, a catch that is secured to the rocker panel upper surface, and a rocker panel garnish that is disposed over the rocker panel upper surface and the catch. The hook is positioned such that, when the door is in a closed position, the hook extends through a slot in the rocker panel garnish and is received between the catch and said rocker panel upper surface.
