Methods and devices for generating ultrasound images during a medical procedure are disclosed. The device may comprise a shaft that includes a working channel for receiving an instrument, the working channel extending from a proximal end of the shaft to a distal end of the shaft, and an ultrasound sensor disposed radially outward of a distal portion of the working channel such that the ultrasound sensor at least partially surrounds the working channel. The ultrasound sensor may be configured to image a single field of view greater than about 90 degrees about the shaft, e.g., simultaneously, while conducting a medical procedure with an instrument inserted through the working channel.

Devices and methods for ultrasound imaging

This disclosure provides design, material, manufacturing method, and use alternatives for medical devices. An example medical device includes a scaffold including a central member and a plurality of extension members extending away from the central member. The central member includes a plurality of discrete attachment locations corresponding to each of the plurality of extension members and each of the plurality of extension members is pivotably coupled to the central member at a corresponding discrete attachment location. The medical device also includes a covering substantially surrounding the scaffold and an electrode located at a distal end of each of the plurality of extension members. Each electrode extends through at least a portion of the covering.

Medical device having extenable members

A device for causing hemostasis includes a sheet of mesh stretchable between an expanded and a retracted configuration, a size of the sheet in the retracted configuration being selected to cover a target tissue site; a spring mechanism coupled to the mesh, the spring mechanism moving between an expanded configuration and a retracted configuration when the mesh is moved between the expanded and retracted configurations; and a plurality of hooks coupled to the mesh and oriented to extend into tissue to lock the mesh in position when the mesh is placed in a desired position over the target tissue site in the expanded configuration. The hooks are lockingly engaging the target tissue so that, after the hooks have lockingly engaged the tissue, the spring mechanism reverts to the retracted configuration drawing the engaged portions of tissue radially inward.

Hemostasis and closure methods utilizing mesh

A tissue closure device includes a first clip including a first longitudinal element extending along a longitudinal axis from a proximal end to a distal end and a first pair of arms extending laterally from the first longitudinal element, the first pair of arms movable between an open configuration in which free ends of the first pair of arms are separated from one another and a closed configuration in which the free ends of the first pair of arms extend toward one another, the first pair of arms being biased toward the closed configuration, and a sliding element extending from a proximal end to a distal end and longitudinally movable relative to the first clip so that when a portion of the sliding element is received between the first pair of arms, the first pair of arms is moved from the biased closed configuration to the open configuration.
