A system and method for improved location tracking of a target device based on location estimates for multiple types of location technologies/sensor types. A received signal strength location estimate of a target device based on wireless transmissions made by the target device received at a plurality of receiver devices at known locations in a location region. A first search area for the target device is derived based on the received signal strength location estimate. An ultrasound based area in which the target device is estimated to be is derived based on reception by the target device of a particular ultrasound beacon in the location region. An intersection of the first search area and the ultrasound based area is computed to produce a second search area. A location estimate of the target device in the second search area is computed based at least on the received signal strength location estimate.

Precise, high coverage, location system

An online collaborative meeting is established, utilizing at least one meeting server, where the meeting includes a plurality of meeting endpoints that communicate with each other via the meeting server. The meeting server establishes a plurality of electronic work spaces that are commonly assigned to each meeting endpoint, where each work space for each meeting endpoint provides different content and each work space that is common to each meeting endpoint provides the same content for real-time display. During the online collaborative meeting, the meeting server facilitates modification to content at any of the work spaces by any meeting endpoint, where modification to content at a work space by one meeting endpoint results in a real-time distribution and display at all other meeting endpoints of the modification to the content at the work space.

Virtualization of physical spaces for online meetings

In one embodiment, a processor can receive data representing a view reflected by a mirror of a plurality of mirrors. The plurality of mirrors may be configured in a space to reflect a plurality of views of structures in the space. The mirror of the plurality of mirrors may include a uniquely identifiable feature distinguishable from other objects in the space. The processor can identify the mirror of the plurality of mirrors according to the uniquely identifiable feature. The processor can also determine an attribute of the structures according to the identified mirror and the data representing the view reflected by the mirror.

Reflection based tracking system

A method is provided in one example and includes generating a histogram associated with at least one object; receiving image data; comparing the image data to the histogram in order to determine if at least a portion of the image data corresponds to the histogram; identifying a pose associated with the object; and triggering an electronic command associated with the pose. In more particular embodiments, the image data is evaluated in order to analyze sequences of poses associated with a gesture that signals the electronic command to be performed.

System and method for gesture interface control

One embodiment of the present invention sets forth a method for intuitively controlling a far-end camera via physical movements. The method includes the steps of receiving an image captured by a first camera and including a digital representation of at least a portion of a user of the first camera, analyzing the digital representation to identify a position of the user relative to the first camera, computing a value associated with a first property of a second camera based on the position of the user, and transmitting the value to the second camera, wherein, in response to receiving the value, a perspective of the second camera is modified based on the value.
