A system is disclosed, with a non-transitory computer-readable medium; a communications interface; and a processor communicatively coupled to the non-transitory computer-readable medium and the communication interface, the processor configured to execute processor executable instructions stored in the non-transitory computer-readable medium. The instructions may cause the processor to receive, from a first client device via a chat channel, a request to schedule a video conference. The chat channel may be configured to enable one or more users to exchanges messages using a respective client device. The processor may further determine a meeting time for the video conference based on one or more parameters associated with a set of users having access to the chat channel. The processor may further schedule the video conference based on the meeting time. The processor may further post, within the chat channel, a meeting notification, where the meeting notification includes a link to the video conference.

Methods and systems provide for a spatial chat view dashboard within a messaging platform. A system displays, at a client device, a dashboard user interface for a messaging platform, consisting of at least a dashboard virtual background and one or more spatial chat rooms. Each of the spatial chat rooms is a spatial representation of a chat session associated with a number of participants. The system receives, from the client device, a selection of a spatial chat room from the one or more spatial chat rooms. The system then displays a spatial chat user interface comprising the selected spatial chat room.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media related to a method for dynamic sharing of meeting assets within a messaging platform. A communication system receives one or more meeting assets that are associated with a meeting that was conducted via a video communication platform. After the meeting has ended, the communication system generates a meeting summary component configured to be displayed within the messaging platform. The meeting summary component may include information describing the meeting and meeting assets. The meeting summary component may be posted into a messaging channel of the messaging platform.

Dynamic sharing of meeting assets within a messaging platform

A system is disclosed, where a non-transitory computer-readable medium including a communications interface and a processor, communicatively coupled to the non-transitory computer-readable medium and the communications interface. The processor may be configured to execute processor executable instructions stored in the non-transitory computer-readable medium. The processor may access one or more chat channels, where the one or more chat channels are established by a chat and video conference provider. The processor may determine that one or more messages, directed to a user via the one or more chat channels, includes one or more unread messages. The processor may generate a notification of the one or more unread messages corresponding to the one or more chat channels. The processor may generate an unread landing page including the one or more unread messages from each of the one or more chat channels.

Some examples relate to locally storing a chat conversation history at an on-premises data center. As one example, a system can receive a chat message from a first client device of a first participant in a chat conversation. In response to receiving the chat message, the system can determine a data center associated with the first participant. The system can then transmit the text chat message to a server node in the data center. The server node can be configured to transmit a command to a database system of the data center. The command can be configured to cause the database system to store a copy of the text chat message in a chat log associated with the chat conversation. The system can also transmit the text chat message to a second client device of a second participant in the chat conversation.

Methods and systems provide for a spatial chat view within a messaging platform. First, the system displays, for a number of participants within a messaging session, a user interface consisting of: a virtual background; one or more spatialized avatars representing the participants overlaid on the virtual background; and a message composing component. The system displays, adjacent to each of a subset of the spatialized avatars, one or more chat bubbles corresponding to messages sent by one or more of the participants represented by the subset of the spatialized avatars. Concurrently or subsequently, the system determines an availability status for each of the plurality of participants, and then displays, within or adjacent to each of the spatialized avatars, a visual indicator of the availability status of the participant represented by the spatialized avatar.

Various embodiments of an apparatus, method(s), system(s) and computer program product(s) described herein are directed to a Reminder Engine. The Reminder Engine detects a selection, by a first user account, of one or more reminder attributes for a message received in an online chat session. The Reminder Engine generates a reminder object for the message according to the one or more selected reminder attributes. The Reminder Engine receives a reminder notification based on expiration of a duration attribute associated with the reminder object.

Methods and systems provide for a spatialized display of chat messages within a messaging platform. First, the system displays, for each of a number of participants within a messaging session, a spatial chat user interface (hereinafter 'UI') consisting of: a virtual background; and one or more spatialized avatars representing the participants. The system receives initial chat messages sent by a participant from the plurality of participants, then displays, adjacent to each of a subset of the spatialized avatars, one or more initial chat bubbles corresponding to messages sent by one or more of the participants represented by the subset of the spatialized avatars. Concurrently or subsequently, the system displays one or more other participant chat bubbles. The system receives additional chat messages sent by the participant, and then displays the additional chat bubbles, repositioning the initial chat bubbles while the additional chat bubbles are displayed in their place.
