This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, related to transmissions during an idle period of a fixed frame period (FFP). For example, a UE can receive, via system information or radio resource control (RRC) signaling, a FFP defining an idle period. The UE can further determine that a physical random access channel (PRACH) occasion (RO) resource or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) occasion (PO) resource overlaps with the idle period of the FFP. The UE can additionally map the RO resource to the PO resource based on determining that the RO resource or the PO resource overlaps with the idle period of the FFP, and perform a random access channel (RACH) procedure according at least to the mapping of the RO to the PO.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive an uplink grant scheduling an uplink transmission that is not aligned with a fixed frame period (FFP) boundary configured for the UE. The UE may receive downlink control information (DCI) including an indication that the UE is to initiate a channel occupancy time (COT) acquisition in association with transmitting the uplink transmission. The UE may modify the indication based at least in part on the uplink transmission not being aligned with the FFP boundary and the indication indicating that the UE is to initiate the COT acquisition. The UE may transmit the uplink transmission based at least in part on the uplink grant and after the modification of the indication. Numerous other aspects are described.

According to certain aspects, a user equipment (UE) is configured to detect that a nominal physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) repetition is to be segmented into one or more actual PUSCH repetitions that include a single symbol actual PUSCH repetition and take one or more actions to handle a symbol length gap in transmission due to the single symbol actual PUSCH repetition.
