Automated vehicle control distributed network apparatuses and methods

A method, system and machine-readable storage medium for providing fault tolerance in a distributed mobile architecture (dMA) system. The method includes receiving a message or failing to receive the message within a predetermined time relating to a first dMA gateway (dMAG) at a second dMAG. It is determined whether the first dMAG is not operational or is otherwise offline based on the received message or the failure to receive the message. One or more dMA nodes associated with the first dMAG are notified in order to request connections to an external system via the second dMAG. The external system is also notified to request connections to one or more dMA nodes associated with the first dMAG via the second dMAG.

Fault tolerant distributed mobile architecture

A method includes detecting a failure condition relating to a first distributed mobile architecture (dMA) gateway (dMAG) at a dMAG management system. The dMAG management system is in communication with at least the first dMAG, a second dMAG, and dMA nodes. The method also includes determining that the first dMAG is offline based on the failure condition, selecting the second dMAG, sending a first notification from the dMAG management system to the second dMAG, and sending a second notification from the dMAG management system to an external system. The external system is configured to connect calls to a mobile station via the first dMAG. The first notification instructs the second dMAG to take over operations from the first dMAG. The second notification indicates that the external system is to connect subsequent calls to the mobile station via the second dMAG.

Methods and systems for controlling wireless communications are provided. A method includes sending, from a mobile base station mimicking system, signals that mimic a first base station of a wireless communication system. The method also includes selectively routing, at the mobile base station mimicking system, communications associated with at least one communication device, wherein selectively routing the communications comprises forwarding a first communication associated with the at least one communication device and blocking a second communication associated with the at least one communication device.

System, method, and device to control wireless communications

A method includes transmitting communications information from a first DMA gateway of a DMA gateway communication network to a second DMA gateway of the DMA gateway communication network. The communications information is associated with a communication network that is accessible to the first DMA gateway. The method includes receiving a communication from the second DMA gateway via the DMA gateway communication network. The communication network and the DMA communication network are different. The communication is associated with a destination device that is indicated by the communications information to be served by the communication network that is accessible to the first DMA gateway. The method includes routing the communication to the destination device.

System, method, and device for routing calls using a distributed mobile architecture

A method includes receiving a call routing request at a first distributed mobile architecture (DMA) node from a mobile switching center (MSC). The method includes identifying, at the first DMA node, a DMA node associated with a mobile subscriber device based on information included in a visitor location register (VLR) gateway accessible to the first DMA node. The VLR gateway identifies a set of visiting mobile subscriber devices. The method includes sending a call routing message from the first DMA node to the identified DMA node associated with the mobile subscriber device.

Roaming mobile subscriber registration in a distributed mobile architecture

Methods and systems to control wireless communications are provided. A particular network communication system includes a plurality of distributed mobile architecture gateways. Each distributed mobile architecture gateway includes at least one interface to communicate with one or more legacy communication networks and each distributed mobile architecture gateway also includes a data network connection. The data network connection is adapted to connect to at least one other distributed mobile architecture gateway of the plurality of distributed mobile architecture gateways. Additionally, the system includes a private Internet Protocol (IP) network connecting each distributed mobile architecture gateway to a respective set of distributed mobile architecture (DMA) servers. Each DMA server is coupled to a respective base transceiver station, and the private IP network also connects each DMA server in a particular set of DMA servers to the DMA servers in the other sets of DMA servers.

System and method to control wireless communications

A method includes receiving a first call to a mobile station at a first distributed mobile architecture gateway (dMAG). The mobile station is accessible via the first dMAG. The method includes determining a routing path for the first call based on register data associated with the mobile station. The routing path includes one or more components of the first dMAG, a first distributed mobile architecture (dMA) node, and a private Internet Protocol (IP) network. The method includes sending one or more command messages to reserve the one or more components of the first dMAG, the first dMA node, and the private IP network and receiving one or more confirmation messages indicating that the one or more components are reserved to route the first call. The method further includes connecting the first call to the mobile station via the one or more reserved components.

OAMP for distributed mobile architecture

A method of controlling wireless communications is provided. A call is received from a first mobile device at a base transceiver station (BTS) interface of a first distributed mobile architecture (DMA) server. The call is associated with a destination device. The first DMA server determines that a first distributed mobile architecture gateway (DMAG) supports communication with the destination device based on registration data stored at the first DMA server. Voice information associated with the call is converted to packet data. The packet data is routed to the destination device via the first DMAG.

A method includes receiving a call at a distributed mobile architecture (DMA) server. The DMA server includes a mobile switching center (MSC) module, a wireless transceiver, and a base station controller (BSC). The MSC module includes an authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) module configured to support generation of call detail records at the DMA server. The method includes routing the call from the DMA server to a communication device. The method further includes generating a call detail record associated with the call at the DMA server.

Providing communications using a distributed mobile architecture

A method includes determining a location of the wireless communication device and transmitting information indicating the location of the wireless communication device to a Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) location register (MILR). The MILR stores information associated with the wireless communication device including a first IMSI number, a first Mobile Directory Number (MDN), a second IMSI number and a second MDN.

Multiple IMSI numbers

A method and apparatus for determining the location of a node within a wireless communication system is provided herein. In order to determine the location of a node, a series of GSM network measurement reports (NMRs) received at multiple base stations are analyzed by location-finding equipment. Multiple reports from the same mobile unit are analyzed for their received signal strength and multiple location estimates are then determined for the node. The location estimates are then averaged and weighted to determine an accurate location estimate for the node.

Method and apparatus for determining the location of a node in a wireless system

A method includes receiving, at a first distributed mobile architecture (DMA) system, a call from a first mobile subscriber to a second mobile subscriber and determining whether the second mobile subscriber is registered with one of the first DMA system and a second DMA system based on information stored at an authentication, authorization, and accounting module. The information stored at the AAA module includes a first home location register storing information associated with mobile subscribers registered with the first DMA system and a first community location register storing information associated with a second HLR of the second DMA system.
