A hydrosilylation curable textile coating composition comprises: (a) a linear organopolysiloxane polymer having at least two alkenyl and/or alkynyl groups per molecule; (b) a reinforcing filler comprising at least one of fumed silica, precipitated silica, or calcium carbonate; (c) a linear trimethyl terminated polydimethyl methylhydrogen siloxane containing at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen groups per molecule; (d) a hydrosilylation cure catalyst; (e) an organosilicon resin; and (f) an adhesion promoter comprising a mixture and/or reaction product of: (i) one or more alkoxysilanes having an epoxy group in the molecule; (ii) a linear organopolysiloxane oligomer containing at least one alkenyl group and at least one hydroxy or alkoxy group per molecule; and (iii) an organometallic condensation reaction catalyst comprising organoaluminum or organozirconium compounds. Air bags and air bag fabrics can be coated with the hydrosilylation curable textile coating composition, and the resulting air bags and fabrics generally have enhanced scrub resistance.

Silicone coatings for air bags

Provided herein is a self-lubricating silicone elastomer composition and a self-lubricating, elastomeric material made therefrom which has a low coefficient of friction and avoids the need for 'self-bleeding'. The self-lubricating silicone elastomer composition comprises: (i) 50 to 75% by weight of one or more polydiorganosiloxane polymer(s) containing from 0.01 to 0.1% by weight of alkenyl and/or alkynyl content; (ii) 3 to 15% by weight of a polydiorganosiloxane polymer having ≥0.5% by weight of alkenyl or alkynyl content; (iii) 10 to 35% by weight of reinforcing filler; and either or both of (iv) a peroxide catalyst; or (v) a hydrosilylation catalyst package.

Silicone elastomer compositions and elastomeric materials

Addition curing electrically conductive liquid silicone rubber (LSR) compositions, their methods of preparation, and cured elastomeric products made from the compositions are provided. The compositions are cured to form elastomeric products suitable for high voltage applications such as cable joints, cable terminal applications, cable accessories and connectors. In general, the composition comprises: (a) at least one polydiorganosiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups per molecule: (b) at least one organohydrogenpolysiloxane: (c) at least one reinforcing filler: (d) at least one hydrosilylation catalyst: and (e) an electrically conductive filler. Component (e) comprises: (i) extra conductive carbon black: and (ii) single walled carbon nanotubes.

Handling additive for silicone elastomer bases

A liquid curable silicone elastomer composition is disclosed.
