An image processing device with intelligent typesetting function and method thereof is provided. A processor is connected to an image capture module, a memory module and an output module respectively. A first image is acquired by the image capture module and a set of scanning position information in the memory module. A set of typesetting parameters is applied to the corresponding scanning position information. The processor continues to obtain a second side image through the image capture module and applies the set of typesetting parameters. The processor generates a typesetting image based on the set of typesetting parameters, the first side image and the second side image, and causes the output module to output the typesetting image. Through intuitive scanning procedures and intelligent and quick application of preset image typesetting methods, tedious operations are reduced, thereby improving efficiency and convenience.

Disclosed are a shortcut copying method for a multi-function printer and a multi-function printer using the same. After a plurality of data is input by an automatic document feeder, the multi-function printer scans first data in the plurality of data and generates a first scanning image. The multi-function printer provides a control interface composed of a front-side scanning and copying option unit, a back-side scanning and copying option unit and a duplex scanning and copying option unit, and determines whether an option execution command is received based on the control interface. When the multi-function printer determines that it receives the option execution command, it continues to scan other data of the plurality of data and generate a second scanning image. By providing the control interface with concise and clear functions, it is convenient for users to select the copying method quickly and conveniently, thereby improving convenience and efficiency of use.

A multi-function printer includes a printer body and a scanner body. A printer module is disposed in the printer body. At least one first scanning module, at least one feeding roller and a sensor are disposed in the scanner body. The feeding roller and the sensor are disposed at an inlet of a sheet passage. When the sensor senses presence of a sheet medium, the first scanning module immediately performs image scanning on the sheet medium to obtain image data, and then the printer module prints out the image data.

A multi-mode scanning device for scanning an original includes a background element, a first light source, a second light source and an optical module. The first light source outputs visible light to irradiate the background element and the original to generate first light and second light, respectively. The second light source outputs invisible light to irradiate a combination of the background element and the original to generate third light and fourth light, wherein the background element reflects the invisible light. The optical module receives the first to fourth light and generates sensing signals representative of visible light information and invisible light information of the original. The original is disposed between the background element and the optical module. The first light source, the second light source and the optical module are disposed on a same side of the background element.

A duplex scan indicative scanner includes a sheet passage, a transporting mechanism, one single scanning module, a duplex indicator and a connection interface. The transporting mechanism transports a document past the sheet passage. The scanning module scans a first side of the document passing through the sheet passage. The connection interface is electrically connected to an electronic device, the duplex indicator, the transporting mechanism and the scanning module. After the electronic device has controlled, through the connection interface, the scanning module to scan the first side, the electronic device controls, through the connection interface, the duplex indicator to output a duplex indication message to guide a user to place the document or a second document, so that a second side of the document or the second document is scanned by the scanning module. The electronic device performs a blank page counting process on a received first document file data containing blank pages, in order to generate cost information of non-blank pages and display it for reference. A toner level detector, includes: a toner cartridge storing toner and having one side provided with a light-permeable region; an agitator, which is rotatably disposed in the toner cartridge and agitates the toner; a reflective region disposed on an inner surface on the other side of the toner cartridge; a first cleaner disposed on one side of the agitator; a second cleaner disposed on the other side of the agitator; and a transceiver, which is disposed on a body outside the toner cartridge, and outputs an emitting signal to the reflective region through the light-permeable region, wherein the reflective region reflects the emitting signal to generate a reflective signal received by the transceiver through the reflective region, wherein the first cleaner, which is rotating, intermittently cleans the light-permeable region, which is fixed; and the second cleaner, which is rotating, intermittently cleans the reflective region, which is fixed.
