The present invention discloses a verification device for verifying a field device. The verification device comprises a repository and verification module. The repository comprises a plurality of verification definition data sets, each verification definition data set associated with a type of field device and comprises one or more sets of threshold values of one or more corresponding operational parameters for the corresponding type of field device. The verification module obtains a corresponding verification definition data set associated with the field device under verification; measures values of the operational parameters of the field device under verification in accordance with the corresponding verification definition data set and compares the measured values of the operational parameters with corresponding threshold values of the operational parameters from a set of threshold values of the operational parameters from the corresponding verification definition data set.

Systems and methods for field device interaction monitoring may include an analysis compute device having circuitry configured to obtain user interaction data produced by one or more field devices used in an industrial process of an industrial plant. The user interaction data may be indicative of interactions made by one or more users through a human machine interface of a corresponding field device. Techniques for generating user interfaces (UIs) for field devices on a host device are described. A field device driver installed on the host device transmits a request for UI configuration to a field device. The field device includes a plurality of sets of UI parameters associated with configuration of the UI. The field device is configured to select a set of UI parameters from the plurality of sets of UI parameters based on application information provided to the field device. The field device driver receives the set of UI parameters from the field device in response to the request. Based on the set of UI parameters, the host device configures and generates the UI.
