A display device includes a display panel and a processor. The processor is coupled to the display panel. The processor is configured to generate first output data according to first input data and a first compensation value, generate a stress reduction value and a compensation reduction value according to the first input data, calculate a final stress value according to the first output data, at least one first operating factor, and the stress reduction value, calculate a second compensation value according to the final stress value and the compensation reduction value, and output second output data according to second input data, the second compensation value, and at least one second operating factor. The display panel receives the second output data to display according to the second output data.

Display device, processor, and image processing method

The invention provides a color calibration device, a color calibration method and a calibration table generation method. The color calibration device includes a calibration table circuit, a ratio circuit and an image processing circuit. The calibration table circuit provides a selected calibration table including a plurality of zone calibration parameters. Each of the zone calibration parameters corresponds to a corresponding zone among a plurality of zones of a display panel. The ratio circuit calculates a subpixel calibration parameter corresponding to a current subpixel according to at least one of the zone calibration parameters in the selected calibration table. The image processing circuit calibrates original subpixel data of the current subpixel according to the subpixel calibration parameter to generate calibrated subpixel data of the current subpixel.

An image processing circuit is configured to generate a first offset value according to second offset values in at least one look-up table corresponding to a starting voltage range of at least one illumination element in a display device. The image processing circuit is further configured to generate output image data according to an ending gray level value and the first offset value. The output image data is for overdriving the at least one illumination element. The second offset values correspond to a starting gray level value of a first frame and the ending gray level value of a second frame.

An image apparatus and a method of preventing burn in are provided. The image apparatus includes a comparison circuit, a stress level circuit and an image processing circuit. The comparison circuit compares a difference between a current block in a current frame and the current block in a previous frame to obtain difference information corresponding to the difference, wherein the current block includes at least one pixel. The stress level circuit is coupled to the comparison circuit to receive the difference information corresponding to the current block of the current frame, and estimates a stress status of the current block of the current frame according to the difference information. The image processing circuit is coupled to the stress level circuit to receive the stress status, and determines whether to downgrade a stress of the current block according to the stress status to prevent occurrence of burn in.

A display control circuit transforms a plurality of input points of an input image to a plurality of target subpixels of a display panel. In the display panel, a first row of the target subpixels and a second row of the target subpixels are non-aligned in a vertical direction. The display control circuit includes a subpixel rendering circuit. The subpixel rendering circuit maps a first row of the input points to the first row of the target subpixels, and maps a second row of the input points to the second row of the target subpixels. The coordinates of the first row of the input points are respectively equivalent to the coordinates of the first row of the target subpixels. The coordinates of the second row of the input points are respectively equivalent to the coordinates of the second row of the target subpixels being shifted in a horizontal direction.

A display panel including a plurality of sub-pixel repeating units is provided. The sub-pixel repeating units are repeatedly arranged on the display panel. Each of the sub-pixel repeating units includes at least one first color sub-pixel and at least one second color sub-pixel. On the display panel, the adjacent first color sub-pixels form a first polygon, and the adjacent second color sub-pixels form a second polygon. The area of the first polygon is at least twice the area of the second polygon.
