An optical touching assembly, including a display device, a sensing device, and a touching object, is provided. The display device has a touching area. The sensing device is electrically connected to the display device. The touching object is adapted to enter the touching area, such that the sensing device senses the motion of the touching object to control the display device. The touching object has an optical controlling element that generates light along with the motion of the touching object. The sensing device senses a characteristic variation of the light to trigger at least one operating function of the display device.

Touching object and optical touching assembly using the same

An optical touch system is provided. At least one light source is disposed at a side of a base plane. A first optical sensor and a second optical sensor detect a space in front of the base plane to generate a first signal and a second signal. When two groups of objects approach to or touch the base plane, a processing unit determines at least one first portion of the first signal corresponding to the two groups of the objects and at least one second portion of the second signal corresponding to the two groups of the objects, and converts the at least one first portion and the at least one second portion into a plurality of touch regions, and determines group transformations according to positions corresponding to at least part of touch regions. Additionally, a method of touch detection, and a computer program product are also provided.

A locating method for an optical touch system determines a center position of an indication object on a touch area of the optical touch system by an optical location means. The locating method determines a light-emitting position of a light emitter of the indication object on the touch area by receiving indication light emitted from the light emitter by two optical sensors. The locating method determines a touch position and a touch direction according to a relative relationship between the center position and the light-emitting position; therein, the touch position can be regarded as a touch point on the touch area by the indication object, and the touch direction can be regarded as a rotation angle of the indication object relative to the touch area.

When an object moves with respect to the reference plane in a plurality of first times and intersects or approaches the reference plane in each of the first times, the processing unit selects one first diagonal having the least length variation in the first times from a plurality of first diagonals of a first polygon surrounding the object in each first time to be a first orientation diagonal corresponding to a real orientation of the object. A method, an apparatus, and a computer readable medium for polygon gesture detection and interaction, adapted to an electronic apparatus having an input unit, are provided. In the method, a gesture moving from a starting point to an end point is received by using the input unit and sampling points thereof are collected. A trajectory of the sampling points is analyzed to obtain a center of the gesture. A surrounding area of the center is divided into equal label areas. A distance and an angle relative to an origin of each sampling point in the label areas are calculated and used as a vertical axis and a horizontal axis to draw a waveform diagram. A shape formed by the trajectory is determined according to characteristics of the waveform diagram and a specific function corresponding to the shape is performed.

Method, apparatus and computer readable medium for polygon gesture detection and interaction

An apparatus and a system for correcting touch signal and a method thereof are provided. The method includes the following steps. A beam is emitted to obtain a detective beam by reflecting the beam with a reflective element, and a detective signal distribution graph is generated. A plurality of intersections, a covered region and a pixel position corresponding to the covered region are obtained according to the detective signal distribution graph and a threshold value distribution graph. A first area occupied by the covered region is calculated according to the detective signal distribution graph and the plurality of intersections. Whether an overexposure is occurred in the covered region is determined according to the first area corresponding to the covered region. If the overexposure is occurred in the covered region, the covered region being overexposed and the pixel position corresponding to the covered region being overexposed are corrected.

A frame with a sensing function includes a frame structure, a sensor and a processing unit. The processing unit is electrically connected to the sensor. The frame structure is configured for hanging on a display unit. The sensor senses a touched position set of the display unit for position setting. The processing unit includes a parameter calculating module and a parameter providing module. The parameter calculating module calculates a position transformation parameter between the hanged frame structure and the display unit according to the touched position set. The parameter providing module provides the position transformation parameter, such that a display content displayed on the display unit is controlled according to at least one touched position for operation sensed by the sensor and the position transformation parameter.

A gesture detecting method is adapted to an optical touch device. The optical touch device includes an indication plane and two image sensing units disposed at two corners of one side of the indication plane. The gesture detecting method includes steps of sensing two images of a gesture by the two image sensing units, wherein the gesture is performed on the indication plane; determining whether at least two touch points exist in one of the two images; if at least two touch points exist in one of the two images, generating a quadrangle according to a far left boundary and a far right boundary of each of the two images; calculating a reference radius of a reference circle corresponding to the quadrangle; and determining whether the gesture is a grab gesture according to a variance of the reference radius.

Optical touch device and gesture detecting method thereof

An optical touch system and a touch point calculation method thereof are provided. The optical touch system includes a first lens, a second lens and a screen. The first and second lenses are disposed on the same side of the screen and face to the other side of the screen. In the method, images of a touch object above the screen are captured and used to calculate a first and a second touch signal of the touch object touching the screen before and after a preset time. Then, it is determined whether a width difference of the first and second touch signals exceeds a predetermined threshold. If yes, a third touch signal corresponding to the first touch signal relative to the second touch signal is calculated. Finally, positions of the first touch signal and the third touch signal are taken as locations of two touch points on the screen.

Optical touch system and touch point calculation method thereof

An optical touch system and a touch object separating method thereof are provided. First, touch object images in a first and a second captured image of a first and a second lens are recognized. When the first captured image includes two touch object images and the second captured image includes a single touch object image, a first distance between a leftmost end and a rightmost end of the two touch object images in the first captured image, a second distance between centers of the two touch object images, and a third distance between a leftmost end and a rightmost end of the single touch object image in the second captured image are calculated. A fourth distance corresponds to the third distance is calculated according to a ratio of the first distance to the second distance and used to separate the single touch object images into two touch object images.
