In an example, a method, non-transitory machine-readable storage medium, and apparatus is described for preserving data in a solid state drive in the event of an unclean shutdown of the host computing system. A controller of the host computing system detects an unclean shutdown that initiates a power down of the host computing system, In response to the detecting the controller asserts a first signal that signals the solid state drive to write data in a volatile memory of the solid state drive to a non-volatile memory of the solid state drive, The controller then initiates a timer to count down a predefined delay period after the asserting. Upon an expiration of the timer, the controller asserts a second signal that instructs a power supply of the host computing system to power off.

An electronic card includes a support substrate, a plurality of storage devices on the support substrate, and a plurality of controllers on the support substrate to manage access of the corresponding plurality of storage devices, wherein the plurality of controllers and the plurality of storage devices are arranged to store data according to a Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) mode.

Examples disclosed herein involve a first connector that facilitates access to a system, a second connector that facilitates access to the same system, and an adapter controller to facilitate concatenating functionality of the first connector and the second connector when the apparatus is communicatively coupled to the system via the first connector and the second connector; and establish a high speed connection between the system and the apparatus via the first connector and the second connector.

An example includes an apparatus, including a resource to connect to a controller in a first state and a peripheral card in a second state. Example apparatus include a controller to control a connection to an interface card and to connect to the resource via a first data channel in the first state, the first data channel to connect the resource and the peripheral card in the second state.

An apparatus includes a memory card that includes at least one memory module and an expansion connector to connect with at least one expansion memory card. A lane distributor on the memory card interfaces with a set of bidirectional lanes and provides a base lane set and an expanded lane set of bidirectional lanes to support communications with the memory module and the expansion memory card via the expansion connector.

An interposer for connecting a module to an M.2 socket includes a different form factor connector. The interposer includes an M.2 connector to couple the interposer to the M.2 socket. The M.2 connector is formed to mate with the M.2 socket. The interposer includes a different form factor socket to couple the interposer to the module including the different form factor connector. The different form factor socket is formed to mate with the different form factor connector.

An apparatus includes a pass-through module that includes connector pins to connect with at least one active motherboard connector and to separately connect with at least one routing motherboard connector. A routing function on the pass-through module redirects a set of bidirectional lanes from the connector pins connected to the active motherboard connector to the connector pins connected to the routing motherboard connector to enable a connection of the set of bidirectional lanes to at least one other motherboard connector via the routing motherboard connector.

A routing function on the pass-through module redirects a set of bidirectional lanes from the connector pins connected to the active portion of the motherboard connector to the connector pins connected to the inactive portion of the motherboard connector to enable a connection of the set of bidirectional lanes to at least one other motherboard resource connected to the inactive portion of the motherboard connector.

Examples of adapters for transmitting signals are disclosed. In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, an adapter may include a first connector communicatively couplable to PCIe port of a computing system via a first plurality of pins and a second connecter communicatively couplable to an electronic device via a second plurality of pins. The first plurality of pins is communicatively coupled to the second plurality of pins. Additionally, signals of a first type are transmittable between the computing system and the electronic device via a first subset of the first and the second pluralities of pins and signals of a second type are transmittable between the computing system and the electronic device via a second subset of the first and the second pluralities of pins. The second subset of the first plurality of pins and the second plurality of pins conforms to the SFF 8639 standard.
