A system for providing clinical decision support during a clinical encounter with a patient includes a mobile computing device and a remote computing device communicatively coupled to and remotely located from the mobile computing device, the remote computing device configured to receive clinical data during the clinical encounter from a medical device associated with the patient, provide a first interactive display including the clinical data, enable the mobile computing device to access the clinical data, receive user input based on the clinical data from the mobile computing device, and provide the user input and the clinical data at the first interactive display, where the mobile computing device is configured to access the clinical data, provide the clinical data at a second interactive display, prompt a user for the user input based on the clinical data via the second interactive display, and transmit the user input to the remote computing device.

Systems and methods for EMS device communications interface

A system for providing role-based data feeds for a plurality of patient caregivers includes a portable central device and a patient data display screen. The central device is configured to obtain the medical data via one or more sensors and/or electrodes configured to couple to the patient and provide the medical data to mobile devices, optionally as multiple role-based data feeds. The central device may include software and hardware configured to feed the medical data to the mobile devices via multiple role-based data feeds. The patient data display screen is configured to display the medical data. Each mobile device may identify an associated type of medical data by displaying a screen enabling a caregiver to select the associated type of medical data based on their role, or may receive a respective role-based data feed from the central device. Each mobile device is configured to display the received medical data.

A wearable medical monitoring device is configured to manage drive booting. The wearable medical monitoring device includes a plurality of ECG electrodes configured to sense ECG signals from a patient, a plurality of therapy pads configured to deliver one or more therapeutic shocks, and a monitor operably connected to the plurality of ECG electrodes and the plurality of therapy pads. The monitor includes at least one processor and a supervisory circuit configured to monitor a state of the at least one processor when the at least one processor is configured to boot from a current drive. According to at least one aspect, a medical device is provided. The medical device includes at least one electrode to sense an electrocardiogram (ECG) signal of a patient and a controller coupled to the at least one electrode. The controller may be configured to generate a first ECG template based on a first ECG signal of the patient, generate a second ECG template based on a second ECG signal of the patient, and determine whether the patient is experiencing a cardiac event based on the ECG signal of the patient and an identified one of the first ECG template and the second ECG template.

A system and method for conservation of battery power in a portable medical device is provided. In one example, a processor arrangement includes a dual core processor having an ARM core and a DSP core. The portable medical device includes a monitor having the dual core processor, in communication with a belt node processor. The DSP core receives physiological data from the physiological sensor and sends the physiological data to the ARM core. The ARM core analyzes the physiological data to determine if a treatment sequence is necessary. The DSP core receives physiological data from the at least one physiological sensor and sends the physiological data to the ARM core, and also analyzes the physiological data to determine proper timing of the treatment sequence by the at least one therapy delivery device to synchronize at least one pulse of the treatment sequence with the physiological data.

A wearable medical device configured to monitor a patient for cardiac arrhythmias includes a water-resistant belt, ECG sensing electrodes, and therapy electrodes discrete from the ECG sensing electrodes. At least some of the ECG sensing electrodes and therapy electrodes are disposed on one or more common adhesive backings configured to be adhesively attached to the patient's torso. The wearable medical device also includes an elongated cable, including a removable connector, and a control unit configured to be removably electrically coupled to the electrodes via the removable connector. The control unit is configured to monitor a sensed ECG of the patient, and responsive to a detection of cardiac arrhythmia, provide at least one defibrillating pulse to at least one of the therapy electrodes. The control unit is housed in a waterproof case formed from a waterproof material that is sealed to prevent ingress of water during operation in a wet environment.

The remote alarm can be configured to receive a communication from the wearable medical device, and in response, to identify one or more messages to be provided to the patient or a bystander. The messages may be provided audibly, visually, tactilely or combinations thereof.
