A user of a user device initiates a contact center engagement with a first contact center. One or more components of the first contact center processes a prompt obtained from the user device to determine the subject of the contact center engagement and whether the subject of the contact center engagement is related to the first contact center. Based upon a determination that the subject of the contact center engagement is unrelated to the first contact center, a connection is opened to a second contact center to enable the second contact center to address the contact center engagement and the user of the user device. A response may be received at the first contact center from the second contact center, for example, from an agent of the second contact center. The response may then be used to train an artificial intelligence agent of the first contact center.

Connecting a user of a first contact center to a second contact center

Example methods and systems automatically generate event paths for participants of an event. A virtual conference provider accesses a scheduled event including multiple sessions and multiple participants. The virtual conference provider extracts participant data and event data associated with the scheduled event and generates a recommendation of one or more sessions for a participant based at least in part on the participant data and the event data. The virtual conference provider provides an indication of an up-next session to the participant during a current session based on the recommendation of the one or more sessions.

Event path generation

A server generates a recording of a conference. The server obtains, after termination of the conference, permission from at least one participant device of the conference to store a subset of media generated by the at least one participant device during the conference in a data repository. The permission specifies at least one media type to store in the data repository and at least one media type not to store in the data repository. The server stores, in the data repository, the recording of the conference modified based on the obtained permission.

Methods and systems provide dynamic adjustments for video optimization in a communication session. In one embodiment, the system receives, at a server, an outgoing video stream from a transmitting device to a receiving device; identifies a first set of video parameter data corresponding to the quality of the outgoing video stream; receives, from the receiving device, a second set of video parameter data corresponding to the quality of the video stream; determines one or more quality discrepancies between the first set of video parameter data and the second set of video parameter data; and provides notification of at least a subset of the quality discrepancies to one or both of the transmitting device and the receiving device.

Dynamic determination of video stream quality discrepancies in a communication session

Illumination testing is performed to passively check the health of a display of a shared device within a physical space, such as a conference room. A test pattern is output to the display within the physical space. Using a camera within the physical space, a test image of the physical space is captured while the test pattern is output to the display. A determination is then made as to whether the display is in a fail state by comparing the test image against a reference image depicting an expected illumination of the physical space according to the test pattern. Where the device is determined to be in a fail state, a notification indicating the fail state is transmitted to an administrator device to alert an administrator associated therewith of the fail state.

A virtual-background (VBG) rule for setting a first target VBG of a first conference participant of at least two conference participants of a video conference is identified. The at least two conference participants include the first conference participant and a second conference participant. The VBG rule identifies a VBG source. The first target VBG for the first conference participant set using the VBG rule is different from a second target VBG for the second conference participant set using the VBG rule. A VBG datum is obtained from the VBG source. The first target VBG is set using the VBG datum to obtain a target output image. The target output image is transmitted for display or is displayed.

Dynamic virtual backgrounds

A user device may use a light communications system to detect, from a light source in a physical space, light in a pattern that represents encoded information. The light communications system may include a sensor and an emitter. The user device may decode the encoded information based on the pattern to cause an update associated with a virtual meeting. In some implementations, the update may include the user device joining the virtual meeting using a meeting identifier. In some implementations, the update may include adjusting a microphone or a speaker in the physical space. In some implementations, the update may include a pairing between the user device and a second device that enables bidirectional communication between the user device and the second device.

Using a light communications system to cause an update associated with a virtual meeting

Methods and systems provide a dynamically user-configurable interface for a communication session. In one embodiment, a system presents, at a client device connected to a communication session, a user interface ('UI'), the UI including a canvas section with one or more canvas assets and an asset selector section with one or more selector components representing canvas assets. The system receives a request to place a chosen selector component from the asset selector section into a specified location in the canvas section. In response to the request, the system identifies a type and size properties of the canvas assets and size properties of the canvas section; determines a size for the chosen selector component; and presents the chosen selector component within the specified location in the canvas section at the determined size while concurrently recompositing the canvas assets.

A background setting request that identifies the VBG rule is received from a conference participant of a video conference. A request for a VBG datum is transmitted to the VBG source. A first image of a first video stream and a second image of a second video stream are displayed at a device. The first video stream and the second video stream are video streams of a video conference. A stitching image is identified in preview images received from a camera of the device. Diagnostic output is received from an endpoint device connected to a conference. At least one of a location or an orientation of the endpoint device is determined based on the diagnostic output. A configuration setting for the endpoint device is determined based on at least one of the location, or the orientation of the endpoint device. The configuration setting may be obtained from an artificial intelligence engine that is trained based on various configurations of endpoint devices.

An addition of a new endpoint device to a virtual conference that includes one or more current endpoint devices is identified. Configuring endpoint devices connected to a virtual conference

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media relate to a method for providing multi-point video presentations with live annotations within a communication platform. First, the system receives video feeds depicting imagery of a number of users. The system then determines a boundary about each user in the video feeds, with the boundaries each having an interior portion and an exterior portion. The system provides a media background for the exterior portions, then generates a composite video for each of the feeds. The system then determines that one or more client devices have annotation permissions, and receives one or more annotation inputs corresponding to at least one of the composite videos. Finally, the system updates at least one of the composite videos to additionally depict the annotation inputs within a third layer.

Independently configurable annotation layers

Usage of the same virtual background during video communications associated with multiple meetings is identified. Common information details in respective information details of the multiple meetings are identified. A virtual background selection rule that associates the common information details of each of the multiple meetings with the same virtual background is automatically generated. A determination is made that information details of a planned meeting matches the common information details. In response to determining that the information details of the planned meeting matches the common information details, the same virtual background of the virtual background selection rule is used for display during the planned meeting.

A video conference session is enabled using a video conference software license issued to an internal device user within the organization. Using the same license or different video conference software licenses, portions of the video conference session between an external device user external to the organization and various internal device users within the organization are facilitated. The video conference session remains active regardless of whether a video conference software license is detected. In the event no such license is detected at a given time during the video conference session, the external device user is moved to a virtual waiting room space associated with the video conference session until such a license is detected, such as by the connection of a licensed internal device user to the video conference session or a presentation of a license for use with the video conference session.
