A waveguide coupler includes a waveguide having a first and a second port, and a slot formed in a broadwall of the waveguide between the first and second ports, the slot centered on the first broadwall. A plurality of shifted waveguide sections are arranged between the first and second ports and extend along a length of the waveguide. A parallel-plate transmission line structure is coupled to the slot, wherein RF signals within one of the waveguide or the parallel-plate transmission line are communicated to the other of the waveguide and the parallel-plate transmission line through the slot.

Provided is a radiator transition assembly for exciting a long slot radiator of an antenna, the transition assembly including a folded flexible circuit substrate including at least two folds forming a long slot radiator, an excitation circuitry configured to generate signals for exciting the long slot radiator, and a microstrip transmission line coupled to the excitation circuitry and positioned along the folded flexible circuit substrate, where the microstrip transmission line extends across an opening of the long slot radiator.

Systems and methods for exciting long slot radiators of an RF antenna

A spring loaded microwave interconnector (SLMI). The SLMI includes a waveguide probe head having a first side and opposite thereto a second side, the sides transverse to a central axis. A spring loaded coax central conductor coupled to the probe head first side and provides a distal conductive tip. The coax central conductor extends along the central axis. A dielectric sleeve is disposed about the coax central conductor adjacent to the first side. The distal conductive tip extending beyond the dielectric sleeve when in an extended position and is about flush with the dielectric sleeve when in a compressed poison. An multiport waveguide to multiport PCB assembly utilizing a plurality of SLMIs wherein the multiport waveguide and PCB have curved contours is also disclosed.

A true-time-delay feed network for a continuous transverse stub antenna array includes a plurality of feed levels, each comprising one or more rails, the feed levels arranged in a spaced configuration. An open parallel plate region is defined between adjacent ones of the feed levels. The rails of the plurality of feed levels are arranged to form a power divider network unencumbered with septums or wall portions protruding into the open region.

True-time-delay feed network for CTS array

Methods of fabricating air-filed true-time-delay, continuous transverse stub array antenna. A plurality of extruded sections that are physically independent of one another are fabricated. The plurality of extruded sections are arranged in a predefined pattern defining the structure of the array antenna. Adjacent surfaces of the extruded sections form waveguides of the array antenna. The plurality of extruded sections are joined together at their respective ends to form the array antenna. The plurality of extruded sections may be joined using a plurality of end plates. The plurality of extruded sections and end plates may comprise metal or plastic. If the extruded sections are plastic, they are metallized using a process such as vacuum deposition, electroless plating, or lamination during the extrusion process. The end plates are sealed to the extruded sections to form the array antenna structure.
