An apparatus for generating a data signal comprises a processing circuit configured to generate the data signal, the data signal comprising a sequence of a first signal edge of a first type, a second signal edge of a second type, and a third signal edge of the first type, the first signal edge and the second signal edge being separated by a first time period corresponding to first data to be transmitted, and the second signal edge and the third signal edge being separated by a second time period corresponding to second data to be transmitted. An output interface circuit is configured to output the data signal.

Methods, systems, and circuitries are provided to generate clock signals of different qualities in a device. A method includes determining whether the device is operating in a mid power mode or a high power mode. In response to determining that the device is operating in the mid power mode, oscillator circuitry is controlled to cause the oscillator circuitry to consume a lower amount of power, such that the oscillator circuitry generates a lower quality clock signal. In response to determining that the device is operating in the high power mode, the oscillator circuitry is controlled to cause the oscillator circuitry to consume a higher amount of power, such that the oscillator circuitry generates a higher quality clock signal. The lower amount of power and the higher amount of power are different from one another.

Techniques for wirelessly charging small power receiving units are disclosed. An example power receiving unit includes a transportation mechanism to enable the power receiving unit to move and a wireless communication system that enables the power receiving unit to communicate with a plurality of other power receiving units. The power receiving unit is a master unit and the other power receiving units are nodes that take commands from the master unit. The power receiving unit also includes a controller to command the nodes to form a composite receive coil over a power transmitting unit and communicate with the power transmitting unit to start a charging session.

The circuitry is configured to detect a load change in the resonator when transmitting the short beacon and cause the resonator to transmit a long beacon subsequent to said transmitting the short beacon if said load change is detected. The long beacon has a second time period longer than the first time period.

A load modulation circuit includes a resonator circuit configured to resonate based on a received charging power and produce a resonance output signal based thereon, and a rectifier circuit configured to receive the resonance output signal and convert the resonance output signal to a rectified voltage signal. The load modulation circuit further includes a sensor circuit configured to sense the rectified voltage signal and generate a control signal based on the rectified voltage signal and a target power range associated with a change in conducting power of the load modulation circuit during a load modulation. Lastly, the load modulation circuit includes a controllable current source circuit configured to generate a controlled current based on the control signal, wherein the controlled current modulates a load of the load modulation circuit while concurrently maintaining a change in total conducting power at an output of the rectified circuit within the target power range.

A technology is described for determining a position of a HBC (Human Body Channel) sensor. An example method may include receiving signal data for a radio signal from a first transmitting HBC sensor transmitted over a human body channel. A signal loss of the radio signal can be calculated using the signal data received from the first transmitting HBC sensor, where the signal loss may be a function of distance of the first transmitting HBC sensor from a receiver. A distance of the first transmitting HBC sensor from the receiver can then be determined based in part on the signal loss and a relative position of the first transmitting HBC sensor can be identified based in part on the distance between the first transmitting HBC sensor and the receiver.

Methods and systems for determining a human body channel sensor position

Wireless charging, such as that conducted according to standards formed by the AirFuel Alliance and/or various other industry standards for wireless charging, can cause interference with data transfer on a cellular modem of a mobile device. Systems, devices, and methods herein provide power breaks where a power transmitter unit (PTU) will stop generating an electromagnetic field used to charge a power receiver unit (PRU). During the power break, the mobile device can send or receive data over the cellular modem with less or no interference from the wireless charging operations. If the PTU cannot provide a power break, the PRU de-tunes a receive resonator circuit in the PRU to mitigate the interference from the wireless charging operations. Further, the power breaks can also be used by PTUs to scan for near field communication (NFC) tags or devices that could be damaged by wireless charging activities.

Techniques of providing increased safety for wireless systems are described herein. A wireless power receiving unit includes a first receiving coil to inductively couple to a wireless power transmitting unit having a transmitting coil. A safety component is provided to reduce wireless power received at a second receiving coil from the wireless power transmitting unit.

An apparatus for voltage regulation in a wireless power receiver may include a rectifier having an output voltage.
