Modification of a user skill profile based upon social presence includes receiving a document indicating skill competencies of a user, and analyzing the document to determine a first model. The first model includes skill competencies indicated within the document. A social media profile associated with the user is received. The social media profile is analyzed to determine a second model. The second model includes current skills competencies of the user indicated by the social media profile. The first model and the second model is compared to determine missing skill competencies, the missing skill competencies including current skill competencies in the second model that are missing from the document. The document is modified to include the missing skill competencies.

Dynamic modification of user skill profile using determined crowdsourced social presence

Systems and methods for insertion of contact profile images into messages are disclosed. The images can be received from a public profile of a social media website, or from locally stored content. The images may be selected based on a context, such as the recipient and/or sender address, or context of the message. The selected image is inserted into the message instead of, or in addition to the contact name. The recipient then receives a message that includes the inserted image.

A mechanism is provided for intelligently integrating descriptions of images into surrounding text for a screen reader. A natural language understanding image description is determined for an image in a document. For each sentence of a set of sentences in the text of the document, a relatedness score between the sentence and the natural language understanding image description is determined thereby forming a set of relatedness scores. A highest relatedness score is determined from the set of relatedness scores. The natural language image description is inserted in close proximity to a sentence associated with the highest relatedness score, such that, when the text is read out by the screen reader, the natural language image description of the image is read out in close proximity to the sentence.
