A device charging system including a battery configured to supply a type of power to at least one load device and a central charging station configured to receive the battery The central charging station including a locking mechanism configured to secure the battery to the central charging station, an output port configured to supply power to the battery, and an electronic processor. The electronic processor configured to: receive an unlock command from at least one selected from a group consisting of a remote device and a user-interface of the central charging station, and disengage the locking mechanism upon receiving the unlock command.

Distributed charging station

A notification system including an outlet and a notification center. The outlet is configured to output a signal indicative of the availability of the outlet. The notification control unit is configured to receive the signal, determine availability of the outlet based on the signal, and output information corresponding to the availability of the outlet to at least one selected from a group consisting of a computer, a smart phone, and a tablet.

Analyze power outlet having availability notification

One embodiment provides a non-contact power transmitter device including a sealed housing provided at least partially within a surface, and a transmitter coil within the sealed housing configured to inductively transfer power to a power receiver device. The power transmitter device also includes a transmitter control unit coupled to the transmitter coil, a transceiver configured to communicate with the power receiver device, and an electronic processor coupled to the transmitter control unit and the transceiver. The electronic processor is configured to establish, using the transceiver, communication with the power receiver device, and negotiate power transfer requirements between the power transmitter device and the power receiver device. The electronic processor is also configured to control the transmitter control unit to transfer power to the power receiver device.

Inductive power transfer

A power system including a load terminal, a sensor, and an electronic processor. The load terminal is configured to electrically connect to a load device. The sensor is configured to sense an electrical characteristic of the load device. The electronic processor is configured to receive, via the sensor, the electrical characteristic of the load device, supply power, via the load terminal, to the load device, discontinue supply of power to the load device when the electrical characteristic of the load device crosses a predetermined threshold, and enter a standby mode upon discontinuing supply of power to the load device. Wherein when in standby mode the electronic processor, at predetermined time intervals, determines if the load device crosses the predetermined threshold a second time.

System and method for controlling an electrical receptacle

A battery management platform including a battery configured to supply a type of power to at least one load device, and a central charging station configured to provide power to charge the battery while the battery is coupled to the central charging station. The central charging station including a locking mechanism configured to: secure the battery to the central charging station when a status of the battery is determined to be checked-in, and disengage to allow the battery to be removed when the status is verified to be check-out. Wherein the locking mechanism includes an override function configured to allow a user to disengage the locking mechanism without an electronic command.

Distributed charging station and method of managing the same

A device charging system including a battery module and a central charging station. The battery module is configured to supply a type of power to at least one load device. The battery module has an identifier. The central charging station is in communication with the battery module. The central charging station includes an electronic processor configured to: receive the identifier from the battery module, determine if the identifier is stored in a memory of the central charging station, charge the battery module when the battery module is coupled to the central charging station when the identifier is stored in the memory, and generate an alert if the identifier is not stored in memory.

An electrical power system including an electrical power connector, a contact configured to electrically connect a power supply to a load, a first sensor configured to sense a first characteristic of the electrical power connector, a second sensor configured to sense a second characteristic of the electrical power connector, and an electronic controller. Wherein the dynamic adjustment is based on at least one selected from a group consisting of a measured or calculated parameter, an installation condition, an operational limit, a known operational behavior, and parameter threshold information.

A device charging system application to track one or more batteries configured to supply power to at least one load device and a central charging station in communication with the battery and including a transceiver and an electronic processor configured to define a virtual boundary within an area proximate to the central charging station, determine a proximate location of the battery, determine, based the location of the battery, whether the battery is within the virtual boundary, and transmit a command to the battery causing the battery to stop supplying power to the load device when the battery is not within the virtual boundary.
