An apparatus comprises a transceiver (Tx/Rx) printed circuit board (PCB) with a top surface and a bottom surface and a power supply PCB. The Tx/Rx PCB includes two transmitter devices, each comprising a number N of channels. A first transmitter device is arranged on the bottom surface and a second transmitter device is arranged on the top surface over the first transmitter device. One or more pins of the second transmitter device are shorted with one or more pins of the first transmitter device with the same function. An analog front end (AFE) device comprising N input channels is arranged on the top surface of the Tx/Rx PCB, and a digital signal processor is coupled to the AFE device. The power supply PCB comprises a power supply module configured to provide a plurality of supply voltages to the Tx/Rx PCB and the power supply PCB.

Compact ultrasound imaging apparatus

A semiconductor device includes a trim storage and an encoder. The trim storage stores trim values. The encoder determines a magnitude of a supply voltage, determines a magnitude of a handle voltage, determines a source-to-handle voltage of a first transistor, and determines a source-to-handle voltage of a second transistor. Further, the encoder determines a target number of selectable first transistor units comprising the first transistor to select for the first transistor. Based on a trim value from the trim storage, the source-to-handle voltage of the first transistor and the source-to-handle voltage of the second transistor, the encoder determines a target number of selectable second transistor units comprising the second transistor to select for the second transistor. The encoder asserts control signals to select the target number of selectable first transistor units and the target number of selectable second transistor units.

Configurable pulser circuit operable across a range of supply voltages

In certain embodiments, systems for receiving one or more echoes are provided. The system comprises a first attenuator, a first amplifier, and a second attenuator. The first attenuator is configured to receive the one or more echo signals, and generate a corresponding set of first attenuated echo signals, respectively, based on a number of signal strengths of the one or more echo signals. The first amplifier is configured to receive and amplify the set of first attenuated echo signals to thereby generate a set of first amplified echo signals corresponding to the one or more first attenuated echo signals, respectively. The second attenuator is configured to receive the set of first amplified echo signals and generate a set of second attenuated echo signals corresponding to the set of first amplified echo signals, respectively, based on a number of signal strengths of the set of first amplified echo signals, respectively.

Ultrasonic receiver front-end

A mixer circuit includes three square wave mixers and a combiner. A first square wave mixer in the circuit multiplies an input signal with a first square wave. A second square wave mixer and a third square wave mixer in the circuit each multiplies the input signal with a second square wave and a third square wave respectively. The second and third square waves have a same frequency as the first square wave, but phases that respectively lead and lag the phase of the first square wave by a first value. The combiner adds the outputs of the mixers. A low-pass filter external to the mixer circuit filters the sum generated by the combiner to generate a filtered output. In an embodiment, the first value equals forty five degrees, and the filtered output is rendered free of products generated by third and fifth harmonics of the first square wave square.
