A method and a traffic control entity () for controlling a group of vehicles () capable of autonomous driving without requiring a driver, to allow an emergency vehicle () to pass the group of vehicles () which are travelling concurrently in multiple lanes on a road. When detecting that the emergency vehicle () is approaching the group of vehicles () e.g. from behind, the vehicles in the group () are identified based on information () about current position and movement of the vehicles (). The traffic control entity () then issues a command () instructing the identified vehicles to adjust their lateral positions relative the lanes to create a passage along the group of vehicles (). Thereby, the emergency vehicle () is able to move through the passage without having to slow down significantly.

A method performed by an associating unit, for setting up bearers in a communications network being congested is provided. The associating unit serves a mobile terminal comprising an application related to communication over the communications network. The associating unit, a network node and the mobile terminal operate in the communications network. The associating unit receives () information from the network node. The information is about a current congestion level of the communications network. The associating unit further receives () a selected preference level for the application from the mobile terminal. When the communications network is congested, the associating unit sets up (), a set of bearers with different levels of priority in the communications network, based on the current congestion level of the communications network. This is performed by associating a bearer with its priority level with the application based on the selected preference level of the application. The bearer is set up for the application in mobile terminal for communication over the communications network.

Methods for deploying a new sensor in a sensor network having an existing sensor are provided. A method includes receiving information relating to the new sensor and obtaining deployment information relating to the existing sensor. The method further includes determining similarity information for the new sensor based on the received information relating to the new sensor and the obtained deployment information relating to the existing sensor; and based at least in part on the similarity information, determining a sleeping pattern for the new sensor. The new sensor is then configured in accordance with the determined sleeping pattern.

Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for configuring and collecting information from sleepy devices

A method and apparatus for identifying resources available at a device in a communication network. A Resource Directory Proxy node receives a first message from the device. The first message relates to a change in at least one resource available at the device. The Resource Directory Proxy then sends, to a Resource Directory node selected from a set of Resource Directory nodes, a second message. The second message includes the change in the at least one of the resources available. There is also provided a method and apparatus for providing data from the device is provided. A Mirror Proxy Proxy node receives from the device a data message that includes an identity of the device and data obtained by the device. The Mirror Proxy Proxy node selects, from a set of Mirror Proxy nodes, a Mirror Proxy node, and sends to the selected Mirror Proxy node a further data message, the further data message including the identity of the device and the data obtained by the device.

Identifying resources from a device in a communications network

Methods, sensor network monitors (), and mobile terminals () are disclosed that map a plurality of sensors () to sensor identification information provided by the mobile terminals (). A method includes receiving () stimulus characteristic information, which characterizes a stimulus provided to one of the sensors (), and an associated sensor identification information from the mobile terminal (). A response signal is received () from the sensor () responding to the stimulus. A network address of the sensor () is identified. The response signal is matched () to the stimulus characteristic information. The network address of the sensor () is associated () with the sensor identification information associated with the stimulus characteristic information matched to the response signal. The network address of the sensor () and the associated sensor identification information is provided () to a resource directory () for storage.

A method is presented for sending a message to a secure element connected to a mobile equipment, wherein the secure element is coupled to a user of the mobile equipment. The method comprises the steps, performed in an application manager server of: receiving, from an application server, an application message and an identifier of a destination secure element; generating a secure element message from the application message; from a plurality of connectivity providers, selecting a connectivity provider capable of communicating with the destination secure element; and sending the secure element message to the selected connectivity provider for forwarding to the destination secure element. A corresponding application manager server, computer program and computer program product are also presented.

A method of enabling a legacy host, attached to a local network, to discover a service provided by a remote server. The method comprises the following steps to be performed by an IP Multimedia Subsystem Gateway within said local network. (1) Subscribing to an IP Multimedia Subsystem presence service and receiving presence information published by the presence service including Globally Routable User agent URIs. (2) Receiving a service discovery message sent by said legacy host. (3) Searching said presence information to identify a requested service and an associated Globally Routable User agent URI. (4) Sending a response to said legacy host including a local network address of the Gateway, whilst maintaining a mapping between said local network address and said Globally Routable User agent URI.

Method and apparatus for connecting legacy nodes

Methods of establishing an IP link between first and second applications running at respective first and second nodes are provided. The first and second applications are arranged to initiate link establishment over a transport layer by issuing a call to their respective operating system socket Application Programming Interfaces. The methods include at said first node, intercepting a socket call generated by said first application and redirecting the socket call to a SIP-based application resident at said first node; and initiating an IP session with said second node using the SIP protocol.
