The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods for partial sensing for resource selection, reevaluation, and preemption. In some embodiments: a UE receives configuration information for a resource pool; determines a type of traffic to be transmitted by the UE, the type to include aperiodic traffic or periodic traffic; determines, based on the configuration information and traffic type, first and second values to define a window for contiguous partial sensing; and performs contiguous partial sensing within the window.

Partial sensing for resource selection, reevaluation, and preemption

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wakeup radio in a wireless communication system, e.g., in 5G NR systems and beyond. An RRC state is introduced to support a wakeup radio/, including defining transition mechanisms to/from existing RRC states. Further, signaling is introduced to activate a wakeup radio/activate an RRC low power state. Additionally, a bandwidth part framework for a wakeup signal is defined in which a base station may configure one or more time/frequency resources or a wakeup signal for a wakeup radio. In addition, various mechanisms are introduced to switch a wakeup radio on as well as to switch a wakeup radio off. Also, mechanisms are introduced for multiplexing multiple wakeup signals in a time/frequency resource, configuring a wakeup signal bandwidth, and configuring which beam a wakeup signal may be received on.

A base station is configured to determine a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration that has a plurality of cyclic shifts for a comb 8 SRS, a plurality of user equipment (UE) ports for transmitting the comb 8 SRS and a mapping of the plurality of cyclic shifts to the plurality of UE ports. A user equipment (UE) is configured to receive, from a serving base station, a configuration for a control resource set (CORESET) including two transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for a frequency resource, wherein a first TCI state is associated with a beam transmitted from a first transmission and reception point (TRP) and a second TCI state is associated with a beam transmitted from a second TRP, determine, for the beams transmitted from each of the first and second TRPs, respective one or more reference signal (RS) resources to monitor for radio link monitoring (RLM) or beam failure detection (BFD) and monitor the RS transmitted from the first TRP using the first TCI state and the RS transmitted from the second TRP using the second TCI state.

Radio link management, beam failure detection and default beam enhancements for high speed train deployments

In an example method, a user equipment (UE) device receives a slot of data from a base station (BS). The UE device determines a quality of a wireless channel between the BS to the UE device, including determining (i) a metric for a interval extending from a sequentially first symbol of the slot of data to a symbol immediately preceding the first subset of symbols, (ii) a metric for an interval extending from the sequentially first symbol of the slot of data to a sequentially last symbol of the first subset of symbols, (iii) a metric for an interval extending from the sequentially first symbol of the slot of data to a symbol immediately preceding the second subset of symbols, and/or (iv) a metric for an interval extending from the sequentially first symbol of the slot of data to a sequentially last symbol of the second subset of symbols.

Technologies in multi-PDSCH transmission in a wireless network

Systems and methods of a wireless communications system using signals not traditionally used for positioning purposes for positioning measurements in both uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) are described herein. A user equipment (UE) may generate a UE capability information message indicating one or more signal types that the UE can process for DL positioning measurements and/or that the UE can send for UL positioning measurements. The one or more signal types so indicated may include signals not traditionally used for positioning measurements. The UE may send, to the base station, the UE capability information message. The wireless communications system may then configure the base station and/or the UE to use such signal types with one or more positioning methods. In some embodiments, the base station may also indicate to the UE a subset of signals of an indicated type which should be processed for DL measurements/sent for UL measurements.

Using non-positioning signals for positioning in downlink and/or uplink

A user equipment (UE) is configured to perform channel estimation. The UE operates in a current channel estimation mode comprising either one of a first mode or a second mode, wherein the first mode comprises receiving first reference signals (RS) having a first RS overhead and wherein the second mode comprises receiving second reference signals (RS) having a second RS overhead, receives a network indication to switch from the current channel estimation mode to a new channel estimation mode comprising the other one of the first mode or second mode, transmits an acknowledgment to the network that the network indication was received and switches from the current channel estimation mode to the new channel estimation mode in accordance with the network indication.

Channel estimation using artificial intelligence

Systems and methods provide a channel state information (CSI) measurement based on measuring a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmission. A user equipment (UE) triggers measuring of a CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) from a base station. The UE triggers measuring of a DMRS for a PDSCH transmission from the base station. The UE generates a CSI report to report the CSI measurement, based on both the CSI-RS and the DMRS for the PDSCH transmission. The UE may then send the CSI report to report the CSI measurement to the base station.

Systems and methods for PDSCH based CSI measurement

A base station may transmit a message to a group of user equipments (UEs), directing the UEs to change their respective bandwidth parts (BWPs). For each of the UEs of the group, the message may include a corresponding new BWP. In response to receiving the message, each UE of the group may switch to the corresponding new bandwidth part. The message may be transmitted as part of a group common DCI message. The UE may signal its required minimum guard band size to the base station. Alternatively, the UE may respond to the message with an acknowledgement message. The base station may configure a virtual common downlink BWP for the group of UEs. The UEs drop transmission/reception repetitions that occurs during its BWP switch delay period.

Joint bandwidth part switching for a group of UEs

A user equipment (UE) is configured to receive a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration from a network, wherein the SRS configuration comprises a 6 port SRS configuration. The UE is also configured to transmit, from each of the 6 ports, SRS on one or more SRS resources corresponding to the SRS configuration.

Codebook and non-codebook support for SRS with 6 ports

Methods and systems are disclosed for a UE to manage and measure intra-cell cross link interference (CLI) when served by a base station operating in full-duplex FDD. The signaling may indicate to a victim UE resources to measure to determine the level of CLI from aggressor UEs. The resources used for the CLI measurement may be resources not scheduled by the base station for use by the victim UE for downlink reception, but are scheduled for use by the aggressor UEs for transmitting uplink traffic or for transmitting reference signals used to characterize the uplink channel. The victim UE may report the CLI measurements to the base station for the base station to adjust scheduling of downlink resources to the victim UE. In one aspect, the signaling from the base station may indicate to the victim UE the locations of scheduled downlink symbols that may potentially be impacted by CLI.

Intra-cell UE-to-UE cross link interference management at full-duplex operation

Systems and methods for user equipment (UE) capable of performing sidelink (SL) communications that account for overlapped SL resource pools of multiple radio access technologies (RATs) are disclosed. A UE may select, based on prioritizing non-overlapped resources over overlapped resources, one or more candidate resources and/or one or more transmission resources; may determine a power control configuration without considering SL pathloss corresponding to a first RAT when a second power control configuration determination for a second RAT does not consider SL pathloss; may select physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) locations for PSFCH use from first PSFCH locations of resources of a first SL resource pool on a first RAT that do not overlap with a second SL resource pool on a second RAT according to a bitmap; and/or may select one of a PSFCH transmission and PSFCH reception using a data priority rule and/or a pool sharing rule.

Resource allocation for co-channel coexistence

Systems and methods for beam failure recovery (BFR) are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) receives downlink (DL) reference signal(s) on corresponding beam(s) from a base station. The UE performs beam failure detection (BFD) on such beams used for user data to determine whether a beam failure has occurred, and candidate beam detection (CBD) on such beams not used for user data to identify candidate beams for recovering from the beam failure. The BFD and the CBD are based on both uplink (UL) channel performance considerations and DL channel performance considerations, as determined using the DL reference signal(s), such that a beam failure may be determined in the UL, the DL, or both, and a candidate beam may be identified for UL, DL, or both. The UE sends a beam failure recovery request BFRQ with this information to the base station, and the system changes beams accordingly.

The UE receives a system information block (SIB) transmission from a base station of a wireless network, receives a downlink control information (DCI) transmission scheduling a message 2 (Msg2) transmission from the base station, receives the Msg2 transmission including an uplink (UL) grant for a message 3 (Msg3) initial transmission from the base station, determines the number of repetitions for the Msg3 initial transmission based on at least one of the SIB transmission, the DCI transmission, and the Msg2 transmission and determines a frequency hopping (FH) type and FH pattern based on at least one of the SIB transmission, the DCI transmission, and the Msg2 transmission.
