An electronic device is disclosed that includes a base layer, a pixel defining film disposed on the base layer and having a light emitting opening defined therein, a barrier rib disposed on the pixel defining film, having conductivity, and including a first portion having a first barrier rib opening corresponding to the light emitting opening and a second portion insulated from the first portion, a light emitting element disposed in the light emitting opening and including an anode, an intermediate layer disposed on the anode, and a cathode disposed on the intermediate layer and connected to the first portion, a first encapsulation layer covering the cathode, a second encapsulation layer covering the light emitting opening and the first barrier rib opening, a third encapsulation layer disposed on the second encapsulation layer, and a sensor disposed on the light emitting element and including a first sensor electrode and a second sensor electrode, wherein the sensor includes a first conductive layer disposed between the second encapsulation layer and the third encapsulation layer and a second conductive layer disposed on the third encapsulation layer, and the first conductive layer is electrically connected to the second portion through the first encapsulation layer.

Electronic device and method of manufacturing the same

A display device includes a base layer, a circuit layer disposed on the base layer, a pixel definition layer disposed on the circuit layer, including an inorganic protective layer and an organic layer disposed on the inorganic protective layer, and defining a first opening adjacent to the circuit layer and exposing the inorganic protective layer and a second opening exposing the organic layer on the first opening, a light-emitting element including a first electrode disposed on the circuit layer, a functional layer disposed on the first electrode, and a second electrode disposed on the functional layer, and an encapsulation layer covering the pixel definition layer and the light-emitting element. The encapsulation layer includes an auxiliary electrode layer covering the light-emitting element, the inorganic protective layer, and the organic layer, an encapsulation organic film disposed on the auxiliary electrode layer, and an upper inorganic film disposed on the encapsulation organic film.

A display device including a transmissive area and a light emitting area surrounding the transmissive area includes a first substrate, a barrier layer disposed on the first substrate and including an inorganic material, a second substrate disposed on the barrier layer and including an opening overlapping the transmissive area, a light emitting element disposed on the second substrate and overlapping the light emitting area and an encapsulation layer covering the light emitting element and contacting the barrier layer in the transmissive area.

A deposition apparatus includes a chamber, a deposition source disposed in the chamber, a mask assembly, and a base substrate disposed on the mask assembly. The mask assembly includes a frame including frame openings, a mask disposed on the frame and including deposition holes, and a welding stick disposed on the mask. A welding groove is disposed along an edge of the frame and has a depth in the thickness direction of the frame. The welding stick overlaps the welding groove.
