Display panel and display apparatus including component and transmission areas

A display device includes a base layer, a circuit layer, a light emitting element layer, and a thin film encapsulation layer. The base layer includes a display area and a non-display area. The circuit layer includes a plurality of insulating layers, at least one of which has an opening. The light emitting element layer includes a light emitting area overlapping the display area, a valley area overlapping the opening and having a concave shape, and a peak area overlapping the non-display area and being on the circuit layer. The thin film encapsulation layer includes an organic encapsulation layer that covers the light emitting area, the valley area, and at least a portion of the peak area.

Display device

A display device including a light emitting device and an encapsulation member provided on the light emitting device to seal the light emitting device. The encapsulation member may include an organic layer and at least one inorganic layer. An extinction coefficient of the inorganic layer to light having a wavelength range of about 390-430 nm may range from about 0.0052 to about 0.0085.

The display apparatus includes: a substrate; a display unit formed on the substrate; and a thin film encapsulation layer formed on the display unit. The thin film encapsulation layer includes an inorganic layer, and the inorganic layer includes a first sub-inorganic layer including a compound oxide including at least two of aluminum (Al), zinc (Zn), zirconium (Zn), and hafnium (Hf).
