A supported metallocene catalyst can include a silica-based carrier and an aluminum alkyl halide, a cocatalyst compound, and a metallocene compound supported in the silica-based carrier. The aluminum alkyl halide is supported at higher rate on the surface of the silica-based carrier than inside the pores, and the cocatalyst compound is supported at higher rate inside the pores of the silica-based carrier than on the surface of the silica-based carrier. Such a supported metallocene catalyst can be prepared by: (i) supporting an aluminum alkyl halide in a silica-based carrier; (ii) supporting a cocatalyst compound in the silica-based carrier in which the aluminum alkyl halide is supported; and (iii) supporting a metallocene compound in the carrier in which the aluminum alkyl halide and the cocatalyst compound are supported. Such a supported metallocene catalyst can be used to polymerize polyolefins with excellent activity and polyolefin with a uniform powder morphology.

The present disclosure provides a hybrid supported metallocene catalyst useful for preparing a polyethylene copolymer exhibiting excellent process stability and high polymerization activity in ethylene polymerization, and excellent mechanical properties by high comonomer incorporation. A catalyst composition, a method of preparing a polyolefin including the same, and a polyolefin prepared from the same are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a catalyst composition comprises a first transition metal compound represented by Chemical Formula 1, and a second transition metal compound represented by Chemical Formula 2, wherein a molar ratio of the first transition compound to the second transition metal compound ranges from 1:0.3 to 1:3.5. The catalyst composition is capable of preparing a polyolefin having excellent mechanical stability, while exhibiting excellent process stability and high polymerization activity during the preparation of a polyolefin in a slurry process.

Catalyst composition and method for preparing polyolefin using the same

The present disclosure relates to a method for preparing a supported hybrid metallocene catalyst, and the catalyst is prepared by supporting a first metallocene compound, supporting a cocatalyst by a separate-input method in which primarily adding a part at 100&#xb0; C. to 150&#xb0; C. and secondarily adding the rest at &#x2212;5&#xb0; C. to 40&#xb0; C., and then supporting a second metallocene compound, thereby improving a supporting rate of the cocatalyst in the supported catalyst and maintaining high catalytic activity. Therefore, the present disclosure can effectively prepare a polyolefin with improved processability which exhibits increased molecular weight distribution while having high morphology (reduced fine powder), high bulk density and improved settling efficiency.

Method for preparing supported hybrid metallocene catalyst

An olefin polymer capable of simultaneously satisfying excellent drop impact strength and transparency, a preparation method of the same, and a film using the same, can be provided. In an embodiment, an olefin polymer comprises a plurality of polymer chains, and satisfies the following conditions: i) each polymer chain of the plurality having an average number of short chain branches (SCBs) per 1000 carbon atoms of 20/1000C or more, wherein an SCB has C2 to C7 carbon atoms, ii) a molded film of the olefin polymer having a drop impact strength of 1500 g to 2400 g as measured in accordance with ASTM D1709A, wherein the molded film having a thickness of 100 &#x3bc;m, and iii) a molded film of the olefin polymer having a haze is 10% to 30% as measured in accordance with ASTM D1003, wherein the molded film having a thickness of 0.05 mm.
