The electronic device may comprise: a display; and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to: identify first information which relates to the brightness of at least one first content included in a first image layer and is to be displayed using the display, and second information which relates to the brightness of at least one second content included in a second image layer and is to be displayed using the display; adjust the brightness of the second content at least on the basis of a difference between the first information and the second information; and in a state where the second image layer is superimposed on the first image layer including the first content, display the at least one first content, and the second content the brightness of which has been adjusted, using the display.
