The disclosure relates to an electronic device including a rollable display, the electronic device including: a first housing; a second housing configured to slide in a first direction from the first housing in a second state and slide in a second direction opposite to the first direction in a first state so as to be coupled to the first housing; a rollable display having a display area varying depending on sliding of the second housing, the rollable display including a first portion visible to the outside in the first state and the second state, and a second portion visible to the outside in the second state, movements of the second portion being guided by a bendable support; a sliding support configured to slide based on movements of the second housing and support the second portion by supporting the bendable support in the second state; a bracket including a recess providing a space into which the sliding support is configured to slide in the first state; and a support plate disposed above the space to support the first portion.

The electronic device includes a housing, a plate capable of being slid out from the housing, a flexible display including a first area disposed on one surface of the plate, and a second area extending from the first area and at least partially drawn out from an inner space of the housing when the plate is slid out, a curved member positioned in an inner space of the housing to correspond to the second area, a first linear gear positioned on another surface of the plate, and including a plurality of gear teeth arranged in a first direction in which the plate is slid out, a second linear gear including a plurality of gear teeth arranged in the first direction, and a circular gear capable of being rotated about a rotation shaft perpendicular to the first direction, and disposed between the first linear gear and the second linear gear to be spaced apart from the curved member in a second direction opposite to the first direction, the circular gear being engaged with the first linear gear and the second linear gear.

Electronic device including flexible display

Various embodiments of the disclosure relate to an electronic device including a flexible display. The electronic device includes: a housing, and a flexible display in which an area of a display region is configured to be adjusted based on a sliding movement of at least a portion of the housing. The flexible display may include a first region fixedly visible from outside through a first direction of the electronic device, a second region extending from one end of the first region and variably visible from the outside based on the movement of the housing, and including a first bending part bent from one end of the first region in a second direction opposite to the first direction and disposed to face a second lateral direction perpendicular to the first direction, and a first extension part extending from one end of the first bending part and disposed in parallel with the first region, and a second bending part bent from one end of the first extension part in the second direction and disposed to face a first lateral direction opposite to the second lateral direction.

The first gate insulating layer contains a first dipole element including lanthanum (La), aluminum (Al), or a combination thereof.

Semiconductor device and method for manufacturing the same

An image sensor includes a pixel array including a plurality of pixel groups, each of the plurality of pixel groups including a plurality of unit pixels and sharing a single microlens, the plurality of unit pixels in each of the plurality of pixel groups including color filters of the same color, and a control logic configured to group the plurality of unit pixels of each of the plurality of pixel groups into a plurality of subgroups and to drive the pixel array for each subgroup. The plurality of subgroups include a first subgroup and a second subgroup. The control logic may be configured to obtain first image data corresponding to the first subgroup and second image data corresponding to the second subgroup, and the first subgroup and the second subgroup are provided with at least one unit pixel therebetween in the first direction or the second direction.

A pixel group of an image sensor includes first through fourth unit pixels in a matrix form of two pixels rows and two pixel columns, and a common floating diffusion region in a semiconductor substrate at a center of the pixel group and shared by the first through fourth unit pixels. Each of the first through fourth unit pixels includes a photoelectric conversion element in the semiconductor substrate, and a pair of vertical transfer gates in the semiconductor substrate and extending in a vertical direction perpendicular to a surface of the semiconductor substrate. The pair of vertical transfer gates transfer photo charges collected by the photoelectric conversion element to the common floating diffusion region. Image quality is enhanced by increasing sensing sensitivity of the unit pixel through the shared structure of the floating diffusion region and the symmetric structure of the vertical transfer gates.

A portable communication device or electronic device is provided. The communication device includes a housing including a first housing structure, a second housing structure, and a hinge cover positioned between at least a portion of the first housing structure and at least a portion of the second housing structure, a flexible display at least partially received in the housing and including a first portion corresponding to the first housing structure, a second portion corresponding to the second housing structure, and a third portion corresponding to the hinge cover, a hinge structure positioned between the third portion of the flexible display and the hinge cover and connected with the first housing structure and the second housing structure, and at least one sealing member positioned between the third portion of the flexible display and the hinge cover and contacting the hinge cover.

Obfuscating a human or other subject in digital media preserves privacy. A user of a smartphone, for example, may enable a flag for obscuring her face in digital photos or movies. When any device captures digital media, the user's smartphone transmits the flag for receipt. The device capturing the digital media is thus informed of the user's desire to obscure her face or even entire image. The device capturing the digital media may thus perform an obscuration in response to the flag.

Automated obscurity for digital imaging

According to various embodiments, an electronic device may include: a housing including an inner space; a slide structure including a reciprocating slide configured to be slidable from the housing by a predetermined reciprocating distance along a first direction; a flexible display at least partially supported by the slide structure and configured to be received in the inner space to be at least partially invisible from the outside in a slide-in state of the electronic device; and a first friction reducing structure disposed between the housing and the slide structure. The first friction reducing structure may include: a guide slit disposed in the housing in a direction parallel to the first direction and having a predetermined length; a guide protrusion configured to be guided by the guide slit in the slide structure; at least one first magnet disposed on the guide slit; and at least one second magnet disposed on the guide protrusion at a position affected by the magnetic force of the first magnet. The at least one first magnet and the at least one second magnet may be arranged to have identical polarities at least partially facing each other along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction.
