A display device includes a display panel, a polarizing plate disposed above the display panel, a support member disposed below the display panel, where a through hole is defined in the support member, an electronic module disposed below the display panel, where the electronic module overlaps the through hole, and a protective layer disposed above the polarizing plate. The protective layer has a thickness direction retardation of greater than about 0 nm and not greater than about 1,500 nm and an in-plane retardation of greater than about 0 nm and not greater than about 200 nm.

Display device

An electronic device includes a window, a display module, a pressure sensor, and a bracket. The window includes a flat area and a curved area. The display module is disposed on a lower surface of the window to overlap with the flat area and the curved area. The pressure sensor is disposed on a lower surface of the display module to overlap with the curved area. The bracket is disposed on the lower surface of the display module and coupled to at least one of the window and the display module. The pressure sensor is disposed between the window and the bracket. The lower surface of the window and the lower surface of the display module face the same direction.

Input sensing unit and electronic device including the same

An electronic device includes a window, a display module, a pressure sensor, and a bracket. The window includes a flat area and a curved area. The display module is disposed on a lower surface of the window to overlap with the flat area and the curved area. The pressure sensor is disposed on a lower surface of the display module to overlap with the flat area and the curved area. The bracket is disposed on the lower surface of the display module and coupled to at least one of the window and the display module. The pressure sensor is spaced apart from an upper surface of the bracket. The lower surface of the window and the lower surface of the display module face the same direction.

A display device includes a pressure sensing element. The pressure sensing element senses a pressure input applied thereto from the outside, and the display device is controlled based on the sensed pressure input. The pressure sensing element includes a contact sensing area to sense the pressure input and a defect sensing area to sense a defect. The pressure sensing element measures a resistance value in the defect sensing area and identifies whether at least one of lines of the pressure sensing element is disconnected.

A display device includes a backlight and a display panel on the backlight. The backlight includes a light source to provide a first light, and an optical wavelength converter to receive the first light and emits a second light. A display device includes a base substrate, a plurality of pixels disposed on the base substrate, a light collecting member disposed on the plurality of pixels, and an encapsulation member disposed on the light collecting member and facing the base substrate to cover the plurality of pixels, where the light collecting member includes a light collecting layer including a protrusion pattern disposed on an upper surface of the light collecting layer and the protrusion pattern is protruded in one direction to change an optical path of a light passing through the light collecting layer.

A light conversion member includes a base substrate, a first light conversion layer disposed on the base substrate and including a plurality of first quantum dots that converts first light into light with a first color, a second light conversion layer disposed between the base substrate and the first light conversion layer and including a plurality of second quantum dots that converts the first light into light with a second color. Each of the first quantum dots includes a first core that converts the first light into light with the first color; a first shell surrounding the first core and including an organic material; and a second shell surrounding the first shell and including an inorganic material.

A display device includes a display panel and a backlight unit which provides light to the display panel. The backlight unit includes a light source which emits the light, a light guide plate which guides the light emitted from the light source toward the display panel, and a prism plate. Provided are a display device and a method of fabricating the display device. The display device includes a display panel, a backlight unit, and a light emitting sheet. The backlight unit is disposed under the display panel to provide light to the display panel. The light emitting sheet is disposed between the display panel and the backlight unit. The light emitting sheet includes a lower film, a first light emitting resin pattern layer, an upper film, and a second light emitting resin pattern layer. The first light emitting resin pattern layer is disposed on the lower film and includes a plurality of first protrusions and a plurality of first grooves defined between the first protrusions. The upper film is disposed on the first light emitting resin pattern layer. The second light emitting resin pattern layer is disposed between the first light emitting resin pattern layer and the upper film.

Display device and method of fabricating the same

A display device includes a display panel, a light guide plate disposed under the display panel, a light source which provides a side surface of the light guide plate with incident light, a reflective plate disposed under the light guide plate, a first optical adjustment member which includes first scattering particles which scatter a first color wavelength range of the incident light into a first value and scatter a second color wavelength range of the incident light into a second value, and a second optical adjustment member which includes second scattering particles which scatter the first color wavelength range of the incident light into a third value and scatter the second color wavelength range of the incident light into a fourth value.

A backlight unit includes: a lower case including a bottom portion and a side portion on an edge of the bottom portion, a light guide plate accommodated in the lower case, and a light source module including a circuit board between the light guide plate and the side portion of the lower case and a light source on the circuit board, where the light guide plate includes a first light collecting pattern on a lower surface of the light guide plate, and a second light collecting pattern on the lower surface of the light guide plate and between the light source module and the first light collecting pattern.

Backlight unit and display device including the same

A display device includes a backlight assembly and a display panel which displays an image. The backlight assembly includes a light emitting unit which generates light, and an optical member which adjusts a path of the light incident thereto and outputs the light toward the display panel. The optical member includes a first base film to which the light is incident, a second base film closer to the display panel than the first base film and for which are defined first and second areas alternately disposed, a first optical pattern between the first and second base films at the first area, where the first optical pattern refracts therein the light incident to the first base film, and a second optical pattern between the first and second base films at the second area, where the second optical pattern scatters the light incident to the first base film.
