A touch driving circuit, a touch display device, and a touch driving method are discussed, which are capable of reducing power consumption by dividing into an active mode and an idle mode according to a touch sensing type, shortening the touch driving period in the idle mode and reducing some operations related to the image displaying function.

Disclosed is a display apparatus capable of sensing a pen touch without malfunction even when a user's hand or palm touches the display apparatus. The display apparatus includes a touch driving circuit dividing a plurality of touch electrodes arranged in a display panel into a plurality of touch groups, supplying a common voltage to the plurality of touch electrodes at each of a plurality of display periods, and sensing a position of a touch pen through some of the plurality of touch electrodes at each of a plurality of pen sensing periods, wherein the touch driving circuit supplies an uplink signal to some of the plurality of touch groups at each of at least one pen position sensing period among the plurality of pen sensing periods and senses a downlink signal transmitted from the touch pen through the touch groups to which the uplink signal has been supplied to generate pen touch raw data.

Display apparatus

An in-cell touch display device. A panel has a plurality of data lines, a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of touch electrodes disposed thereon. A touch driving signal is applied to the plurality of touch electrodes when a driving mode is a touch mode. A data driver drives the plurality of data lines. A gate driver drives the plurality of gate lines. The gate driver sequentially outputs a scanning signal for driving the plurality of gate lines to the plurality of gate lines when the driving mode is a display mode, and outputs a load-free driving signal corresponding to the touch driving signal to at least one gate line when the driving mode is the touch mode. A level shifter generates the load-free driving signal. A multiplexer inputs a scanning voltage or the load-free driving signal to the gate driver depending on the driving mode.
