A display device is disclosed that includes a pixel circuit, a light emitting element, and a driving circuit. The pixel circuit includes a plurality of pixel transistors. The light emitting element is electrically connected to the pixel circuit. The driving circuit is configured to provide a prescribed signal to the pixel circuit and includes a plurality of driving transistors. A gate signal is applied to a gate of at least one transistor among the plurality of pixel transistors and the plurality of driving transistors. The gate signal includes a first interval in which a DC signal is applied and a second interval in which an AC signal is applied. The second interval includes a first sub-interval in which a first voltage is applied and a second sub-interval in which a second voltage different from the first voltage is applied. The first voltage is a negative voltage and the second voltage is a positive voltage or about 0 V.

An etchant composition of an embodiment may etch a multi-layered film of titanium/copper and may include about 5 wt % to about 20 wt % of persulfate, about 0.1 wt % to about 5 wt % of phosphoric acid or phosphate, about 0.01 wt % to about 2 wt % of a carbonyl ring compound, about 0.01 wt % to about 1 wt % of a 3-nitrogen ring compound, about 0.1 wt % to about 2 wt % of a 4-nitrogen ring compound, about 0.1 wt % to about 0.9 wt % of a fluorine compound, about 0.1 wt % to about 0.5 wt % of hydrogen about 1 wt % to about 3 wt % of a zwitterionic compound, and sulfate, water which is included in an amount that makes the total weight of the entire composition about 100 wt %.

A display device includes a first display panel, a second display panel, and an optical member. The first display panel includes a first substrate and a first cover member on the first substrate. The second display panel is coupled to a first side of the first display panel, and includes a second substrate and a second cover member on the second substrate. The optical member is in a groove defined by the first and second cover members at a boundary of the first and second display panels.

A display substrate includes a base substrate and a plurality of insulating layers disposed on a surface of the base substrate. A groove is defined in the insulating layers in a non-display area of the display substrate. An end portion of an alignment layer is disposed in the groove. The groove is capable of controlling a flow of a liquid alignment material to prevent the liquid alignment material from overflowing to an edge of the base substrate. The groove is formed simultaneously in a process of forming contact holes in a display area of the display substrate. Accordingly, a structure corresponding to the end portion of the alignment layer to control the flow of the liquid alignment material is formed without increasing the number of masks.

A tile display device includes element display devices, each including an element display panel which defines a display area and a panel driver disposed on a seam area surrounding the display area, and a coupling display device disposed on element display devices and coupled to the element display devices at neighboring seam areas. The coupling display device includes a boundary display panel on the neighboring seam areas, a coupler which couples the boundary display panel to the element display panels to provide a coupling panel structure, a boundary driver which drives the boundary display panel and a signal control center which drives the coupling panel structure.

An etchant composition including a persulfate, a four-nitrogen ring compound, a carbonyl ring compound having two or more carbonyl groups, and water, and having a weight ratio of the four-nitrogen ring compound and the carbonyl ring compound of about 1:0.1 to about 1:2. Display panel and method of manufacturing the same

An electrowetting display device includes a black matrix that includes a plurality of openings corresponding to pixels, respectively, a first extension portion extending in a driving direction of an electrowetting layer, the driving direction being a direction in which motion of the electrowetting layer is induced when a voltage difference is applied between a common electrode and a pixel electrode, and a partition wall that partitions the pixels. The first extension portion includes first and second areas respectively extending in opposite directions to each other and a third area having a width substantially the same as a width of the partition wall. The first area has a width less than about half of a first length corresponding to a length extending between both sides of each pixel in the driving direction, and the second area has a width less than the width of the first area.
