An electronic device for displaying an image includes: a display; a communicator configured to transmit, to an image-capturing device connected to the electronic device, synchronization information for synchronization and receive, from the image-capturing device, a first image, image-capturing time information of the first image generated based on the synchronization information, and position information on which the first image was captured; a memory configured to store one or more instructions; and a processor configured to execute the one or more instructions stored in the memory, wherein the processor is further configured to control, by executing the one or more instructions, one or more images to be obtained, a second image corresponding to the first image to be determined from among the one or more images based on the image-capturing time information of the first image and the position information on which the first image was captured, and a third image obtained by synthesizing the first image and the second image to be displayed on the display.

Provided is a polar transmitter which increases a modulation rate using a multi-phase generator and includes: a data processor which processes and separates incoming data to an amplitude component and a phase component; a multi-phase generator which generates a plurality of carriers having a plurality of phase components by processing a carrier having a certain frequency; a selection output part which selects and outputs a carrier having a phase substantially equal to the phase component; and a carrier output part which synthesizes the output carrier with the amplitude component and outputs a carrier. Accordingly, the modulation rate of the carrier can be increased and the bandwidth can be extended with the related art polar transmitter. Therefore, the polar transmitter is applicable to the wideband communications, the multi-mode, and the multi-band.

A wire-stacked transformer has a first loop supplied with electric power and built with one or more metal plates forming a magnetic field, a second loop disposed in a concentric circle with the first loop and generating induction current, and loop wires disposed between the respective metal plates of the first loop and supplying electric power to each metal plate. Accordingly, efficiency of a power amplifier can be enhanced by reducing the loss of the DAT.

A diode circuit having a passive element property, and an impedance modulator and a direct current (DC) source that use the diode circuit are provided. The diode circuit includes a first diode that generates a predetermined DC and alternating currents (AC) when a radio frequency (RF) signal is applied; and a DC path that is connected in parallel to the first diode, forms a predetermined loop and circulates the DC current within the loop. The DC path includes an inductor or an LC parallel resonator. The DC path includes a second diode that is disposed in the opposite direction to the first diode and connected to the first diode in parallel. A digital to analog converter (DAC) is provided. The DAC includes a first loop unit to receive a plurality of sources and comprising a plurality of primary winding of transistors formed at a plurality of locations, and a second loop unit comprising secondary windings to correspond to the primary windings, to receive the plurality of sources through the first loop unit, and combine the plurality of sources and output the result. Accordingly, a DAC is capable of directly converting a digital signal into an RF analog signal.

Broadband light source

A multi-channel light source includes a semiconductor optical amplifier for generating light of a wide wavelength band and outputting the generated light through a first end and a second end. The source further includes a Fabry-Perot (FP) resonator for resonating the light inputted from the semiconductor optical amplifier to generate an FP fringe and outputting the FP fringe to the semiconductor optical amplifier. The semiconductor optical amplifier amplifies the FP fringe inputted from the FP resonator and outputs the amplified FP fringe through the first end.

A reflective semiconductor optical amplifier light source is disclosed. The reflective semiconductor optical amplifier light source includes a transmissive type semiconductor optical amplifier for creating and amplifying spontaneous emission light, a reflector for reflecting amplified spontaneous emission light outputted from the semiconductor optical amplifier such that amplified spontaneous emission light is reflected back into the semiconductor optical amplifier, and a bandpass filter having a predetermined wavelength band width for limiting wavelength bands of the amplified spontaneous emission light capable of passing through the bandpass filter. In one aspect of the invention, the bandpass filter is interposed between the semiconductor optical amplifier and the reflector. In another aspect, a polarization filter is imposed to limit the reflected emission light to a predetermined polarization.

Reflective semiconductor optical amplifier light source

Disclosed are optical signal transmission apparatus including a reflective gain-clamped semiconductor optical amplifier and optical communication system using the optical signal transmission apparatus, which can improve modulation speed and optical power by effectively suppressing intensity noise of an incoherent light source. The optical signal transmission apparatus comprises a light source; a reflective gain-clamped semiconductor optical amplifier to generate gain-clamped optical signals having a substantially constant output intensity in a gain saturation region; a wavelength division multiplexing apparatus configured to spectrum-slice light from the light source, provide the spectrum-sliced light to the reflective gain-clamped semiconductor optical amplifier, and multiplex optical signals gain-clamped by the reflective gain-clamped optical amplifier, and a circulator for inputting the light generated by the light source to the wavelength division multiplexing apparatus, and outputting the optical signal multiplexed by the wavelength division multiplexing apparatus to a transmission link.
