A display device includes: a display panel including a top surface, a bottom surface facing the top surface, and a plurality of side surfaces which connects the top surface to the bottom surface; a plurality of data driving units disposed on a first side surface of the side surfaces; a plurality of gate driving units disposed on a second side surface of the side surfaces, which is connected to the first side surface, and a first control signal line disposed on the first and second side surfaces, in which the first control signal line connects a first adjacent data driving unit of the data driving units, which is disposed adjacent to the second side surface, to the first gate driving units.

A display device includes a display panel which displays an image, the display panel including a display signal line and a pad electrode which extends from the display signal line, a flexible film from which a display signal is provided to the pad electrode of the display panel, the flexible film including a base film attached to a side surface of the display panel and including a front surface facing away from the side surface of the display panel, and a wiring electrode disposed on the front surface of the base film and, an adhesion member configured to attach the flexible film to the side surface of the display panel, and a connection electrode directly bonded to the pad electrode of the display panel and the wiring electrode of the flexible film to electrically connect the display signal line of the display panel to the wiring electrode.

Display device and method for manufacturing the same

A display apparatus includes a display panel having a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines, and a plurality of subpixels. Each of the plurality of subpixels includes a subpixel electrode connected to one of the plurality of gate lines and one of the plurality of data lines through a switching element. A gate driver is configured to output a plurality of gate signals to the plurality of gate lines and to deactivate at least one of the plurality of gate signals in a P-th frame. A display device includes: a display panel including a display surface that displays an image and is exposed to the outside and a rear surface that is opposed to the display surface; a backlight unit formed at a lower part of the display panel and providing light to the display panel; a panel support member disposed between the display panel and the backlight unit and supporting an edge of the display panel; and a magnetic adhesive member disposed between the panel support member and the backlight unit and having magnetism.

A display apparatus includes a display panel, a backlight unit and a touch panel. The backlight unit generates and provides light and is disposed below the display panel to provide the light to the display panel. The touch panel includes a base film attached to a top surface of the display panel. The base film defines a base portion thereof which is overlapped with the display panel. The base portion which is overlapped with the display panel is extended to define a dummy wing portion of the base film. The dummy wing portion is bent from the display panel to a side surface of the backlight unit to be fixed to the side surface of the backlight unit.

Display apparatus including touch panel fixing a display panel to a backlight unit

A liquid crystal display comprises: an upper panel including an upper substrate on which a plurality of thin film layers are formed; a lower panel including a lower substrate on which a plurality of thin film layers are formed; a liquid crystal layer positioned between the upper panel and the lower panel; and a sealing member bonding between the upper panel and the lower panel and constraining the liquid crystal layer. The lower panel includes an aligning agent margin part which is positioned inside the sealing member on the lower substrate and dummy pixels which are positioned at the aligning agent margin part and which enclose a display area. By this configuration, it is possible for a liquid crystal display to be capable of reducing the peripheral area of the display panel so as to expand the display area or making the peripheral area seem smaller to make the display area seem larger.
