A cogeneration system and a method for controlling the cogeneration system in which waste heat of an engine is mainly used to prevent an outdoor heat exchanger from being frosted, or is used not only to prevent the outdoor heat exchanger from being frosted, but also to enhance the heating performance of an indoor heat exchanger, in accordance with ambient temperature conditions, so that the cogeneration system can positively cope with ambient temperature conditions, and can exhibit a high energy efficiency.

An exhaust structure for an engine is disclosed. The exhaust structure includes an exhaust line, through which the exhaust gas discharged from the engine passes. The exhaust line has a double pipe structure capable of preventing the condensed water formed in the exhaust line from entering the engine, so that it is possible to prevent engine failure, and thus, to achieve an enhancement in the durability and reliability of the engine.

Disclosed herein is a method of controlling a linear expansion valve of a cooling cycle apparatus. The method comprises a first step of calculating a target opening level value according to suction overheat level of compressors to control a linear expansion valve based on the calculated target opening level value, and a second step of calculating a new target opening level value according to the suction overheat level of the compressors and discharge temperature of the compressors to control the linear expansion valve based on the calculated new target opening level value. Consequently, the discharge temperature of the compressors is prevented from being excessively increased, and therefore, the compressors are prevented from being overheated and damaged, and reliability of the cooling cycle apparatus is improved.

Cooling cycle apparatus and method of controlling linear expansion valve of the same

A cooling/heating apparatus using a cogeneration system is disclosed. The cooling/heating apparatus includes a discharge-side refrigerant heating unit which supplies heat of exhaust gas generated from an engine to a discharge-side refrigerant line connected to a compressor included in a cooling/heating unit, a suction-side refrigerant heating unit which supplies heat of cooling water used to cool the engine and the heat of the exhaust gas to a suction-side refrigerant line connected to the compressor, a discharge-side refrigerant temperature sensor which senses a temperature of a refrigerant passing through the discharge-side refrigerant line, and a bypass unit which bypasses the exhaust gas heat supplied to the discharge-side refrigerant line via the discharge-side refrigerant heating unit when the refrigerant temperature sensed by the discharge-side refrigerant temperature sensor is not lower than a predetermined temperature, to cut off the supply of the exhaust gas heat or to adjust an amount of the supplied exhaust gas heat. The exhaust gas heat and cooling water heat are appropriately distributed to both the suction and discharge sides of the compressor, so that it is possible to achieve an enhancement in heating performance and an enhancement in system efficiency.

Cooling/heating apparatus using cogeneration system

A cogeneration system is disclosed, wherein a generator which generates electricity, a drive source which operates to drive the generator, and generates waste heat during the operation of the drive source, a waste heat recoverer which recovers the waste heat of the drive source, and a radiator which radiates the waste heat recovered by the waste heat recoverer are arranged in a single chassis. The cogeneration system has a compact and simple arrangement, and achieves simple control operations, and an enhancement in operability.

The system includes an engine, a generator connected to an output shaft of the engine to generate electricity, a dehumidifying agent body to dehumidify indoor air, a regeneration heater to regenerate the dehumidifying agent body, and a waste heat recovering means to supply waste heat of the engine to the regeneration heater, and thus, to allow the regeneration heater to use the supplied waste heat as a heat source for the regeneration of the dehumidifying agent body, so that the system exhibits a maximal efficiency.

The system includes an engine, a generator connected to an output shaft of the engine to generate electricity, a heat pump type air conditioner, through which a refrigerant is circulated, the heat pump type air conditioner comprising a compressor, a directional valve, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion device, and an indoor heat exchanger, an indoor dehumidifying agent body to dehumidify indoor air, an indoor regeneration heater to regenerate the indoor dehumidifying agent body, and a waste heat recovering means to supply waste heat of the engine to the indoor regeneration heater, and thus, to allow the indoor regeneration heater to use the supplied waste heat as a heat source for the regeneration of the indoor dehumidifying agent body, or to supply the waste heat of the engine to the refrigerant of the heat pump type air conditioner, so that the system exhibits maximal efficiency.

A cogeneration system includes an engine, a generator connected to an output shaft of the engine to generate electricity, a heat pump type air conditioner, which uses the electricity generated from the generator, and includes a compressor, a directional valve, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion device, and an indoor heat exchanger, a fluid-heating heat exchanger to heat a fluid, and a waste heat recovering means to supply waste heat of the engine to the heat pump type air conditioner or to the fluid-heating heat exchanger, so that the system exhibits a high energy efficiency.

An electricity generating and air conditioning system including an engine, a generator connected to an output shaft of the engine to generate electricity, an air conditioner, which uses the electricity generated from the generator and includes a compressor, an indoor heat exchanger, an outdoor heat exchanger, and an expansion device, and an exhaust gas waste heat recovering device to recover heat of exhaust gas discharged from the engine and to transfer the recovered heat to a refrigerant passing through a discharge line of the compressor. The electricity generating and air conditioning system has an advantage in that an enhancement in heating performance is achieved.
