A method of controlling a micro injecting device performs spitting action which sprays ink from nozzles to maintain the clean state of the nozzles of the micro injecting device. The method includes the steps of: storing respective code values corresponding to the numbers of the nozzles that have sprayed ink among all the nozzles, in a storage section, when printing is initiated; detecting a spitting action performance time while checking the number of printed pages; checking the code values of nozzles among all the nozzles which have sprayed ink over a predetermined frequency during printing by using respective code values stored in the storage section, if it is a spitting action performance time as a result of detection; searching for computed remaining code values by computing the code values of the nozzles that have sprayed ink from reference code values which correspond to all nozzles pre-stored in the storage section; and performing spitting by spraying ink from nozzles which are determined to correspond to the remaining code values as a result of searching. Therefore, before performing spitting, by checking respective nozzles used during actual printing and comparing them to all the nozzles of the micro injecting device, and allowing spitting for only the nozzles unused during printing among all the nozzles of the micro injecting device, unnecessary consumption of ink is prevented.

A paper discharging apparatus for a printer includes: a plurality of support plates for supporting the paper and rotating in a direction parallel to a paper proceeding direction; a rotation shaft of a feed roller arranged in a direction perpendicular to the paper proceeding direction, and to which a feed roller contacting the paper is coupled; a power transfer portion having a sector gear installed on the rotation shaft so that the sector gear doe not rotate when the rotation shaft rotates in a forward direction, and the sector gear does rotate when the rotation shaft rotates in a reverse direction; a crank rod having one end connected to the sector gear, and reciprocating when the sector gear rotates; and a cam shaft connected to the crank rod and rotating in correspondence to the reciprocation of the crank rod. A cam for performing interference movement relative to the support plates, and a holder engaged with the rotation of the cam shaft and having a plurality of kickers for pushing the paper toward the support plate, are also provided. When the sector gear rotates in a forward direction, the paper is supplied or printed; when the sector gear rotates in a reverse direction, the holder is engaged with the cam shaft to perform angular movement by means of the crank rod connected to the sector gear so that an end portion of the paper is pushed. The paper is supported by the support plates, and is dropped downward and stacked. Thus, by using a power transfer portion having a simple structure, cost can be reduced and printing speed can be improved. Also, by using a crank rod and a cam shaft, discharged paper can be stably stacked without being damaged so that the paper can be stably discharged from the printer.

Disclosed is a device for feeding a recordable paper to an image forming apparatus. The device according to the present invention is designed such that a document feeder is disposed on a knock-up plate on which recordable papers are stacked so as to feed a document using such a identical path of feeding the recordable paper when printing as that of feeding a document to be scanned. When scanning the document, the document feeder is positioned over the knock-up plate having the recordable papers stacked thereon to be adjacent to the feed roller. Accordingly, there is an advantage in that a structure of the image forming apparatus is simply, resulting in providing a convenience for an user.

The document cassette is separated rotatably from the feeding unit.
