The present disclosure relates to a UV- and heat-curable ladder-like polysilsesquioxane copolymer and a method for preparing the same. Since a controlled functionality can be provided only on a desired region via a thiol-ene click reaction without an additional additive, an insulating layer having a low dielectric constant and a microcircuit pattern can be formed without an additional etching process.

The present invention relates to an etching composition and a method of producing a MXene. The etching composition of the present invention can stably and quickly produce a MXene at high temperature. The etching composition of the present invention can produce a MXene in high yield. The etching composition of the present invention can easily produce various types of MXenes. A method using the etching composition of the present invention can produce a MXene having excellent electrochemical and mechanical properties.

In an aspect, the present disclosure provides a heat-treated transition metal carbonitride MXene film annealed at high temperatures and a polymer composite comprising the same. In another aspect, the present disclosure provides a method for producing a heat-treated transition metal carbonitride MXene film comprising: obtaining a MXene aqueous solution containing dispersed 2-dimensional (2D) MXenes through an acid etching process; filtering the obtained MXene aqueous solution through a vacuum filtration process to produce a free-standing film; and annealing the produced free-standing film at high temperatures to obtain a heat-treated transition metal carbonitride MXene film. In still another aspect, the present disclosure provides an electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding method comprising: superposing a coating comprising a heat-treated transition metal carbonitride MXene film on at least one surface of an object in a contact or non-contact manner.

The present disclosure relates to 2-dimensional MXenes surface-modified with catechol derivatives, a method for preparing the same, MXene organic ink including the same, and use thereof (e.g. flexible electrodes, conducive cohesive/adhesive materials, electromagnetic wave-shielding materials, flexible heaters, sensors, energy storage devices). Particularly, the simple, fast, and scalable surface-functionalization process of MXenes using catechol derivatives (e.g. ADOPA) organic ligands significantly improves the dispersion stability in various organic solvents (including ethanol, isopropyl alcohol, acetone and acetonitrile) and produces highly concentrated organic liquid crystals of various MXenes (including TiCT, NbCT, VCT, MoCT, TiCT, TiCNT, MoTiCT, and MoTiCT). Such products offer excellent electrical conductivity, improved oxidation stability, excellent coating and adhesion abilities to various hydrophobic substrates, and composite processability with hydrophobic polymers. This finding will lead to further studies on the structures, properties, and physics of the organic MXene liquid crystals and their practical applications.

Disclosed is a self-healing polysilsesquioxane and a hybrid film using the same. Once crosslinked, the polysilsesquioxane copolymer can self-heal within several minutes at 100-120&#xb0; C. The self-healing polysilsesquioxane copolymer can be prepared into a hybrid material in the form of a film. Because the hybrid film has an excellent ability of self-healing the damage caused by external impact, it is applicable to wide applications such as gas separation membranes, etc., without limitation.

Provided is a composition for use in fabricating a carbon molecular sieve membrane, including a fluorine-containing polymer matrix and polysilsesquioxane. The composition shows high selectivity to the gas to be separated and high separation quality by controlling the mixing ratio of the fluorine-containing polymer matrix with polysilsesquioxane as well as the type of fluorine-containing polymer matrix and polysilsesquioxane. The present disclosure provides a gas separation membrane using a ladder-structured polysilsesquioxane in which organic functional groups are attached to a long siloxane chain and a method for fabricating the same. In accordance with the present disclosure, a free-standing ladder-structured polysilsesquioxane-based membrane with various functional groups can be fabricated for gas separations. The performance of the gas separation membrane can be controlled through a variety of combinations of the organic functional groups linked to the siloxane chain. In addition, by controlling the molecular structure of the gas separation membrane through mixing of the ladder-structured polysilsesquioxane with an amine compound or conventional glassy or rubbery polymers or through thermal/UV-curing, the permeability and selectivity of the gas separation membrane can be controlled selectively.

The present invention relates to a coating composition having excellent wavelength conversion efficiency and a wavelength converting thin film/sheet prepared using the same. The coating composition of the present disclosure includes 1 to 60 wt % of polyorgano-silsesquioxane, 0.0001 to 30.0 wt % of a wavelength converting agent, and a solvent, and exhibits a transmittance of 70% or more as compared to that of an aqueous solution. A wavelength converting thin film/sheet prepared by using the coating composition has not only excellent photoluminescence, thermal resistance, and light-fastness, but also moisture and oxygen permeability is low, and the visible light transmittance thereof is 70% or more as compared to that of the air, and when patterning is added, the photoluminescence intensity of sheet is at least two-fold higher than that of a non-patterned sheet. Therefore, the coating composition of the present invention may be conveniently used in the preparation of a wavelength converting thin film/sheet, and feasibly applied to the preparation of a solar cell in an efficient manner.
