In some implementations, the cathode includes a current collector, a first cathode mixture layer on at least one surface of the current collector, and a second cathode mixture layer on the first cathode mixture layer. The first cathode mixture layer includes a first cathode active material having a layered crystal structure, and the second cathode mixture layer includes a second cathode active material having an olivine-based crystal structure. The first cathode mixture layer and the second cathode mixture layer have a thickness ratio of 1:9 to 4:6.

The present invention relates to a flat plate type cooling plate for a secondary battery, which includes a plurality of cooling parts spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction within the cooling plate and a plurality of reinforcement ribs disposed on inner surfaces of the cooling parts. The cooling plate for the secondary battery according to the present invention may be minimized in deformation due to an external impact and stimulation when the cell module is penetrated and thus reduce an influence on unit cells due to the deformation of the cooling plate to suppress an occurrence of short-circuit in the unit cells of the cell module, thereby improving safety of the battery. Also, heat generated during charging and discharging may be effectively released to prevent the battery from being deteriorated in capacity characteristic and improve lifespan characteristics of the battery and reliability of battery performance.

The present invention relates to a battery module, which includes one or more battery cell units, and the battery cell unit includes a battery cell, a fixing member located surrounding an outer circumference surface of the battery cell, and a heat absorbing material located between the battery cell and the fixing member, and as a result, heat generation inside the battery module is suppressed, and ignition between the series-connected battery cell units may be suppressed. Accordingly, excellent charge and discharge efficiency, an excellent cycle property and a lifespan property of the battery may be exhibited without concern for explosion or ignition of the battery module.
