Discussed is a battery module which includes: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a lower frame that covers a lower surface and both side surfaces of the battery cell stack; an upper frame that covers an upper surface of the battery cell stack; busbar frames that respectively cover front front and rear surfaces of the battery cell stack; and a connector that connects the busbar frame at the front surface with the busbar frame at the rear surface, wherein the connector is formed of a flexible flat cable (FFC) and attached to the upper frame.

Battery module and battery pack including the same

A battery module according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a battery cell stacked body in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a U-shaped frame receiving the battery cell stacked body and having an opened upper part; an upper plate covering the battery cell stacked body on the opened upper part of the U-shaped frame; a bus bar frame respectively formed at both ends of the battery cell stacked body; a signal connection portion disposed between the upper plate and the battery cell stacked body and connecting the bus bar frames respectively formed at both ends of the battery cell stacked body; and a bridge adjacent to the signal connection portion and hinged to the bus bar frame, wherein a temperature sensor is attached to the bridge.

A battery module according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked; a module frame accommodating the battery cell stack and having an open upper part; and an upper plate covering the battery cell stack over the open upper part of the module frame. The module frame includes a bottom part and two side parts opposite to each other. The bottom part of the module frame includes a first region and a second region, the first region being located along an edge of the bottom part extending along at least one of the side parts of the module frame, and the second region being located inside the first region. Discussed is an apparatus and a method for manufacturing a battery module, and the apparatus for manufacturing battery module includes a support member for supporting a module frame including a bottom part and two side surface parts facing each other, a side surface guide member configured to align the two side surface parts of the module frame, and a spreading jig located at an end of the side surface guide member and configured to spread opposite ends of the two side surface parts of the module frame, and a battery cell stack is inserted into an interior of the module frame by the spreading jigs.

Apparatus and method of manufacturing battery module

A battery module according to the embodiment of the present disclosure includes a battery cell stack including a plurality of battery cells stacked in a first direction, a housing for the battery cell stack, a first thermally conductive resin layer located between the battery cell stack and a lower portion of the housing, and a second thermally conductive resin layer located between the battery cell stack and an upper portion of the housing, wherein at least one first injection hole for injecting a thermally conductive resin is formed in the upper portion of the housing.

A battery module which prevents laser transmission, and a battery pack including the same, comprises: a battery cell stack in which a plurality of battery cells are stacked, a lower frame covering a lower surface and both side surfaces of the battery cell stack, an upper frame covering an upper surface of the battery cell stack, and a rib protruding from the upper frame so as to align with a pad located between an outermost battery cell of the battery cell stack and one of the side surfaces of the lower frame. The rib is configured to cut off a laser transmitted between the upper frame and the lower frame.

A battery pack is provided including a battery module having a plurality of battery cells or a unit module having the plurality of battery cells; a battery pack frame body including a base plate on which the battery module or the unit module is mounted, and a first side plate and a second side plate connected to the base plate and disposed to face each other; a top frame coupled to an upper portion of the battery pack frame body; and a first end plate and a second end plate electrically connected to electrode terminals of the battery module or the unit module, wherein at least one of the first end plate and the second end plate is configured to include slits.
